My unit shut down in the middle of the night and had the blinking STOP on a dark screen, would beep 10 times when plugged in aswell. I set the unit on top of a pan and opened the bottom water drain plug. After draining alot of water out the unit allowed itself to be turned back on again. Guess its either extremely humid or the dual hose setup doesn't evaporate the water as fast as they made out. Anyways, I haven't found anyone else post this so I hope this helps someone out there.
The manual doesnt give much insight. Vacuum/wash(no dishwasher) the filter(remove by pushing down and away from the unit. Its right on top on the back. As alway unplug before. Wipe the outside. thats it in the manual.
If your a/c unit is portable, and E1 code most always is "air filter cleaning time" or" water level to high ". To reset air filter interval turn unit off at power switch then unplug.Hold power switch down while plugging in....unit will go through a short self check then beep.Release power button after beep.Unit should now be reset. To reset water level....just drain some.....not all. Most portables use water for increase cooling......so leave some in.
