Why is my lenovo A536 is not working?

When battery charge is low, an icon and message will appear. If the
batteries are charged, the icon and message will not display.

There are a few things to check. The LED lights can tell you a lot. This will tell you more about the battery:

1. On the taskbar, double-click the power cord icon or battery icon to open the Power Meter dialog box. Note: If the power cord icon or battery icon does not appear on the taskbar, click the show hidden icons button.
   
2. Press Fn+STATUS to view the power status box, which opens in the upper-left corner of the screen. The power status box shows the current power source, the battery charge level, and the power management mode.
3. Look at the battery charge indicator (if applicable).
   • LED green - Battery is fully charged.
   • LED orange - Battery is charging.
   • LED blinking red - Battery charge is very low.
   • LED solid red - Battery is malfunctioning. Note: This LED only lights up when the notebook is connected to AC power.
     
4. Press the battery meter button on the battery. The battery meter lights indicate the percentage of battery charge remaining.
5. Wait for a Low Battery warning message to appear.

If your battery charge indicator displays what looks like an inaccurate charge, you may need to recalibrate the battery.

To recalibrate the battery as mentioned, try this:

1. Connect the AC adapter and then turn on the notebook.
2. As soon as it starts and you see a startup screen, press the F2 key.
3. In the BIOS Setup utility, use the TAB key to select the Advanced menu.
4. On the Advanced menu, select Battery Auto Learning, and then press the SPACEBAR to select Enabled.
5. Use the RIGHT ARROW key to select the Exit menu. On the Exit menu select Exit Saving Changes, and then press ENTER.
6. At the Setup Confirmation prompt, select Yes, and then press ENTER.
7. The battery recalibration process begins and a screen opens showing you the progress.
8. When the recalibration has finished, and the message "Press [Esc] key to exit" appears, press Esc. The battery charge indicator now displays an accurate battery charge.

Please check your mother board.

#1 Your BlackBerry does not have sufficient Power
Check the battery charge level as shown by the battery icon on the top left of the home screen. No Power - Battery Charge Indicator does not show a charge or is very weak. The battery icon may be red. Charge the battery.
#2 You are Out of Network coverage area
Check the Signal Strength Indicator on the home screen. (1 to 5 bars, as shown below, indicating signal strength). If there is no signal, you may be out of range of the network.
If you are sure you are in range of the network, but show no signal strength, press Alt-Right Shift-Del at the same time. This will cause the BlackBerry to reacquire a network connection.
The process for this procedure is:

• Press Alt-Right Shift-Del (The Del key is also the Backspace key.)
• The screen will go blank, and an hourglass will appear. Wait for the hourglass to go away.
• The startup screen will appear. Wait for it to go away.
• A screen that says Verifying Security Software will appear. Wait for it to go away.
• Check the Radio Tower icon.

If you are in Coverage Area of your Service Provider, You will get the network.
#3 Your Data plan is switched Off.

It will take time to get it fully charged. U can charge it up to 100%. If it is fail after about 8 hrs., contact ur vendor.

try removing the battery and removing the adaptor press and hold down the power button for 5-10 seconds then let got this will power drain your system board noy turn the system on using the battery only without any adaptors to charge or power the system, try turning the system on if the system turnes on leave it turned on for a couple of hours then conenct your sysem adaptor monitor if the battery light and the battery indicator on the lower right of the screen in windows woll indicate that the system is chargin if it is then I believe everything should be fine the blue indicator is for your system if it is blue then your system is turned on and has power if it turned orange and blnking then the battery will be more likely be almost out of juice or may need charging.

New batteries are shipped partially charged. Before you start using your device, it is recommended that you charge the battery. Some batteries perform best after several full charge/discharge cycles. You can charge the battery in two ways: • Charging the device’s battery by connecting the power adapter. • Connecting your device to a PC via the provided Mini USB cable. After the battery has been fully charged, the left LED becomes green and a full battery icon appears on the Today screen’s title bar. Warning! Do not remove the battery from the device while you are charging it using the AC or car adapter. As a safety precaution, the battery stops charging when it overheats. When the low-battery warning appears, do the following: • Immediately save your current data. • Synchronize with your PC or connect the power adapter to charge the battery. • Turn off your device.

Shutdown PC. Then remove battery and Plug in AC power cable. Boot Computer. If everything fine, then shutdown again>put battery back and try! It should work. I had similar problem.

Here is what I found:
Connected the player to the PC with and without prior power on successfully
OSD first displays message “Starting…” then:
Icon appears on screen with a picture of a computer monitor to right and mp3 player icon to left
When mp3 player is communicating with computer or sending information, an appropriate directional arrow appears between the two icons; when transferring files using Windows Explorer, the arrow reverses direction appropriately; when there is no activity either way, a series of “Z z z” ‘s appear on screen
Battery indicator icon also appears to right – new AAA battery resulted in a fully charged icon upon startup; no battery whatsoever resulted also in a fully charged battery icon appearing

does your battery have one of those charge indicator panels on bottom?

also, it's possible that the connection from battery to the internals is shot..if that's the case, then you're looking at a major motherboard swap
