They are not cheap. They have brushes in them and they will need to be cleaned and dry. They need to be lubricated. There could be issues with corrosion.
Check to see if they are sealed units
probably find that there will be water in the bearings
the answer is to have them service to check for water in the windings
The major problem will be water in the electrics because the batteries are connected and that sets up electrolysis in the circuits which corrodes away wires and contacts
Testimonial: "Well that is what I am asking, stripped it down, batteries full d=charge, joystick did not get wet, controller was sealed no moisture inside."

First, make sure that the motors are both engaged and not in freewheel, and that the charger is unplugged. If it is a constant flash without pause, this is usually an indication that the joystick is "out of neutral", a problem caused by hitting running the joystick handle under a table, for instance, of moisture in the joystick itself. If it is a series of flashes, like 4, pause repeat, then you have a fault somewhere else in the chair. Here's a link to the flash codes for your controller. http://www.dynamiccontrols.com/index.cfm/3,73,237/dna-flash-codes-0307.pdf The flashes, types and manner of flash need to be better described in your posting. Good luck.

trent618,
The 8 bar flashing lights indicate a possible control system trip. Without a serial Number or knowing which controller system you powerchair has, I will cover the common used controller systems for the model of powerchair you have.
If you have the Pilot or VSI control system the control system detects an internal problem within its self or the joystick, and I've seen it a couple of times when both the controller and joystick have an internal problem.
If you have the Pilot + or VR2 control system the control system detects
an internal problem within its self and/or the joystick and/or a communications error between the joystick and controller. I've seen it once when the controller, joystick and cable between the joystick and controller being deffective. Due to the flashing lights and you have a Pilot + or VR2 there is a good chance the problem is the cable between the joystick and controller.
The possible solutions and repairs above will require the need for an authorized person to perform the tasks. Give the company that sold you the power chair a call, or anyone or different company which works on power mobility products as the part(s) needed will only be sold to authorized deallers or service providers.
Hope this helps, if so, please respond to this solution which will help
others
who may have the same question.
Thank you
for using FixYa.

Did you find the plug in as of Aug 8th ? the plug for the charger is on the bottom side of the joystick controller, a 3-pin Plug-in.
