I have a transmitter for this model, if you're still looking. I bought it as a replacement one year ago, because I had also lost mine. The batteries leaked in my clock, so now the clock no longer works. I paid about $15 plus shipping.

Can I buy a new outdoor temperature sensor for an atomic clock model number 87700

Adding the word 'Skyscan' makes all the difference. All questions need 'make model (what it is)' as the first 3 words please.

My 86722 sky scan atomic clock doesn't work, because I left the clock direct sunlight.

Most likely reason is the batteries need changing. I believe this init uses 2 AA batteries. When you remove them, wait 1 minute befor inserting the new ones.

The restriction of leaving the unit in sunlight is, the heat of tbe sun may cause the unit to give an inaccurate reading. Will not harm the unit however.

AI can't figure out how to set the atomic clock

This clock will set it's self in a 24 hour time frame. You need only set the time zone your in.

If it does not correct it;s self change walls and location in your house.

The transmitter is located in Fort Collins, Colorado. this station transmits the time codes and is best received at night.

Hope this tip helps.

My clock is nort showing up the outside tempertute

Seems to be a consistent problem with Skyscan. I have the 88800 model and my outdoor transmitter isn't transmitting the temperature either. We've replaced the batteries in both the transmitter and clock and nothing for outdoor temp. It's only been used for 9 months.

Clock adds 1 hour overnight

There's no downloadable manual, but the manufacturer has it on a page here. As for the time changing overnight, make sure you have the right time zone set. It's probably wrong now, and the clock is resetting itself each day to what it thinks is the right time.

Outside temperture

Try changing the batteries in the CLOCK. I had the same problem in a 3M similar clock and it didn't read the transmitter correctly or eventually, at all, when the CLOCK batteries were getting low.

Changed batteries

Please check the following website for all the info and faq.

Also,

If you have lost the outside temperature on the clock display after replacing the transmitter battery then do the following:

1. Make sure you have good batteries installed in the remote transmitter
2. Remove the batteries from the main clock and keep them out until the clock display disappers.
3. Re-install the batteries in the clock.
4. Wait until the display returns and includes the outside temperature display as well.
5. Set the clock again for current time/date etc.
6. Bingo. You are in business.
