HP have one of the best after sales services you can get , find the genning HP after sales service on line, enter your product number/model and problem ,its will search for your product and search for problem. then they give download of driver or other bits to be replaced at no cost, and they can or you can download a HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT or you can download first a HP support assistant but make sure it's a genning HP site

If your printer is wireless you will still need to hook it up to the computer using a USB wire. You also need the printer install disk, called a driver that came with the printer. If you don't have the disk, don't worry. You can download it for free. Just google the name of the printer followed by the word driver. Then follow the prompts to down load it and load it into your computer..

Normal 0 Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

You must have a HP Printer. HP Product Assistant is not a necessary program.
Go to Start > Run. Type msconfig in the run box. Click on the startup tab. See if there is an entry for HP Assistant. If there is un-check the box next to it. Click apply then OK. It will ask you to restart. Restart and see what happens.

I have problem with my hp laptop, when ever i restart the system it is asking insert the hp product assistant disc and then click ok to install, i dont have any other disc other than the one which comes along with printer. please kindly let me how to solve this........
