Windows 7 64 bit. HP Deskjet 920c will not load from HP program disc.32 bit. HP site says it no longer supports HP 920c. How do I obtain a 64 bit driver?

Unfortunately, if HP has ended support for a printer, there will be no new or updated drivers created for that printer to work with new versions of Windows. This also applies to Apple computers as well. You might want to visit this web site at HP.com for the 920c to follow the steps they list there: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-deskjet-920c-printer-series/28856/model/45443/document/c01796879/ As they mention, when a printer model is older, HP gives the driver code to Microsoft to embed in the Windows system, but that driver then is fixed in time and will get no more updates.

My HP DeskJet 920c prints pink instead of blue, new cartridge has been cleaned and blue is visible on swab.

Try running multiple "head cleanings" on it, or you might have the cartridge in the wrong location (if thats possible on that model). If not, then the interface board on the printhead may be faulty or the ribbon cable the sends the signal to the printhead assembly. Most of the InkJet printers made now days are considered disposable electronics by the manufactures. Due to the low price point and the lack of parts support or cost of labor to repair when they do stop working right. Good Luck

Hi I have just put in ink cartridges and the reg

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!Sir/Ma'am If the Check Print Cartridge message is shown and Red Light Flashing then it means that Either ink Cartridge is not installed properly or the function for detecting the ink level is disabled. For it Make sure that you install ink cartridges at correct position as indicated by the label on the print head holder. Press push mark until ink cartridge click into the place. If you are sure then you have installed ink cartridge properly then try following to stop the flashing of red Light.
  1. Lift the lid to the printer (cartridges are on the right side.)
  2. Turn the printer off, then power it on again.
  3. Unplug the power cable from the back of the printer when the grinding noise starts.
  4. Move the carriage towards the middle of the printer (this procedure may take a couple of tries to get the timing correct.)
  5. Take out the cartridges and close the top cover.
  6. Reconnect the power cord. The power and the resume lights (green and red) should be on.
  7. Open the top cover, reinstall the cartridges, and close the top cover.
Now Turn On the printer, Mostly this issue is resolved by this, But if still you get the message and red light still flash then surely its an issue of Ink Cartridge, your ink Cartridge is defective, You need to change the ink cartridge, Your problem will be solved.I hope this solution helps you.Don't hesitate to let me know if you still have some confusion in your mind. Please Rate my solution as "Maximum Stars" and then give your Words of Appreciation as a Feedback.Thank you Sir/Ma'am for taking my service and fir using FixYaConcerned: Muhammad Uzair Team : FixYa
