The LS-100TS has tax keys. I suspect (for I cannot have access to a manual, just the online brochure by Canon) that you have to switch left to right or up-down one of the tax keys then you enter the tax percentage. and toggle back into position.
Hold the CA button down whilst selecting the TAX+ button. Once the TAX% appears on the screen flashing, release the 2 buttons and enter your tax rate eg. 10. Then hit the TAX+ button again.
use the keypad to enter the rate of tax i.e. 10 for 10%
The press the blue "Rate" button
Then press the blue "Tax+" button
Your tax rate of 10% should now be active. Clear the screen enter 100 the press the blue "Tax+" button and see if you get 110 for an answer
SETTING YOUR TAX RATE you hold your set % button down for three seconds until set shows again, then hit tax rate button it shows your tax rate, change your tax rate then hit set your tax rate should be set.
Here are the steps to do it: 1. Enter the desired tax rate number. E.g. 6 2. Press blue "RATE" button and TAX% sign will start blinking. 3. Press "TAX-" button and the TAX% sign will stop blinking. 4. You have set the rate, now press C to clear the display and start using with new rate.
