if u r getting this issue, there are many causes that may lead to this problem
1. may be the ink from the cartridges are overflowing > take out the printer and check and clean the copper contact of the cartridges with lint free cloth and try printing
2. if the cartridge have been refilled > it will not work properly, u need to buy a new set of cartridges
3. may the encoder strip in the printer is not working fine > cunsult the technician and change the encoder strip
4. the alignment of the cartridges are not proper > go to the settings and do a force alignment
