My LCD screen has a dark spot

After powering up, the LCD screen has a spot as if being pushed by a finger. Small lines radiate from the spot and there is no visual image. I did have it in my pants pocket for a few minutes. Can the LCD screen be replaced in this Kodak EasyShare V1003 digital camera.

The screen must be replaced. To do it yourself, the screen will cost around $40 from virtualvillage dot com. I just did one. It took about 15 minutes. The ribbon cable is held in by a flip up lock on the main board. Otherwise, it's just remove the screws around the case and pull the bottom edges outward first.
virtualvillage uses Pay Pal only.

I have a lenova 3000 100 when I turn it on it goes directly to a white screen?

Dear Ashley,

If you pass the point of your index finger around the border of the screen, pressing the screen just a little bit, do you see a small risk with dark borders at any position on the screen?

If you do find any dark spots when you move your finger around the screen, your LCD screen is broken and needs to be replaced.

I have a hisesense 40" lcd lked tv.i grabbed it fron the top and my finger touched the screen.now its has about 12"black uneven spot and in the spot i have rainbow lcolor lines..plus one blue vertica

It sounds like you cracked the screen. If it is cracked, you cannot fix it. Your only options are to replace the screen (BIG $$$) or buy a new set. If you can email me a pic of the TV I can tell you for sure if the screen is cracked. LCD screen are very thin, about as thick as a dime and it doesn't take much to crack them.

LG W2261 VP HDMI problem, 1920:1080 doesnt fit right, there is 2cm dark screen at the edge of the display Got drivers installed for analog -vga and digital -hdmi Tried the buttons on monitor...doesnt...

This problem seem to be the LCD screen have dead pixels or a bruise spots on the LCD screen itself that why you have dark spot or spots on the LCD Screen. This problems can't be repair because this problems doesn't causes by the electronic circuit boards.Tried move the monitor as an angles to the right or to the left might help some lessen the dark spot on the LCD screen that all you could do.If this problems is a very dard bruised spot will not help all or if it is dead pixels on the LCD screen itself.

Small dark spot on right side of screen/lens, also showing up in photos.

Not a good sign I'm afraid to say. If the 'dark spot' is coming through into the pictures that means some pixels are not sensing light. They will look square shaped if you expand the picture on your PC.
If the lCD was faulty (or had some dead spots) this would show when focussing and taking pictures, but, would not show in the final picture.
I'm assuming you have cleaned the lens (just in case) there is a 'dirt' spot that a finger could have put there. (clean with damp soft tissue )
There is a Panasonic help site which I checked but most reported problems were USB connections and battery life etc .. Try it and ask anyway - can always ask -- Ray

quote:"The spot was too hot to keep my finger on it while the rest of the screen was cool" You have a partial hardware failure on the lcd's internal circuitry (column and row drivers, stuff like that).
The short time it's working is about the overcurrent protection delay, it cutt's itself the Vcc, Vdd and control signals for limiting the fire hazard.

Red spot on LCD

Hi,
1) That red spot means that a pixel is stuck, actually it's very common on LCDs.
2 and 3) It usually occurs for a manufacturing issue.
4) The most of the time it doesn't mean that the whole screen is going to fail, but in my case I would take advantage of the warranty if the laptop is brand new and the warranty is still there.
Good Luck!!!
