Water dumps on clothes when opening the lid.

At the end of a cycle, when I open the lid, about a cup of water dumps on the clothes from a rubber gasket on the lid, and also the bleach dispenser is full of dirty water, even if it has not been used.

It sounds like the seal is loose (worn out) or damaged in any case....not sealing. Calypso's splash a lot and when bleach is used regularly they corrode quickly. To replace the seal you have to get a whole inner lid assy. I also advise not using bleach or at least not regularly.

Kenmore 80 series washer model 110 doesn't fully drain when cycle complete

With the lid open, try to turn tub by hand. If you can you may have a bad clutch. If you hear the washer agitating at the begining of the cycle without any water and filling at the end of the cycle, replace the ATC switch. Try spin cycle and open the lid, if you don't see the tub turning, but hear the motor, check motor coupler, or if it never spins after you close lid, check lid switch. These are the most common solutions to this complaint.

Musty smell

The odor that you are experiencing may be from the growth of mold. Inside the washer, some small pools of water may be left standing and is harboring mold spores. Even though you may operate the washer regularly, the mold spores are not being washed away.I have a couple of tips that might help to eliminate odor issues in your washing machine. First, leave the lid, or door to the unit open. By leaving the door open, it promotes air circulation and evaporation of standing water. The reduction in odor, will occur quickly and dramatically. My second tip is to run the washer empty for a quick rinse cycle. Add an entire cup of bleach at the start of the cycle. The bleach is effective at destroying organisms, such as mold and bacteria. However, running it once will not be completely effective. I suggest pouring another cup of bleach into the wash tub, after the cycle has completed. This will leave bleach as the standing pool and should prevent the growth of mold or bacteria. However, if you do this, before doing a load of laundry you should run an empty rinse cycle again, to avoid damage to the clothes from the bleach left standing in the wash tub.

Detergent does not get released

i have seen a problm perhaps similer to yours on several makes of dishwashers .. some washers have a flip up lid that normally covers the detergent cup .. if the upper basket is in the lower position (if its adjustable) then it blocks the flip up lid from opening ... this seems to be a design problem with several makes (probably all made by the same company ) .. if you put the upper tray in its up position then the door still doesnt open all the way but enough that the detergent gets washed out eventually .. that is if there is no large items just benieth that flip up lid .. if so that can block the water from getting into the detergent cup .. you end up with undesolved detergent still in the cup and in the washer at the end of the rince cycle .. very bad ... you may have a different problem .. for instance if the detergent cup door is not opening at all (bad opening mechanism) .. or if the pump screen is clogged then no water is circulated to desolve the detergent ..

Foul water smell from the washer, occassionally clothes still very damp.

Run a wash cycle without clothes and run with hot water, detergent and a cup of baking soda. Get in the habit of leaving the lid open after each washing session which lets the interior dry out. Make sure the drain water leaves forcefully as this is a timed event--check the drain hose for bends or kinks.

Musty smell in washer and clothes.water remains in rubber gasket

Two thing that you might try: Add two or three cups of bleach and have the machine run a cycle (with no clothes!!!). Second, always leave the door open after use to let it air out. Also, it wouldn't hurt to use straight bleach as a wipe to the entire rubber tub seal.

Musty smell in drum of washer

Run a short cycle with nothing except Clorox and water. This will kill the mold growing in the machine. When not in use, keep the lid open.

Mold/mildew

Run a cycle with or without clothes using a 1/4 cup of beach diluted with 3/4 cup of water...max out the auto bleach dispenser with this solution. After using, leave the door open to allow the water within to evaporate. We had the same problem and this was the fix.

No spin

open the bottom access panel , 3 screws on bottom . open the large filter access and look for debris,
it will dump some water on you. have towels/pan ready.

check the pump impellers that they turn freely.
reassemble ,
check under the rubber gasket in tub to be certain no clothing or objects got there.
run it on rinse and see that he water drains.
also the exit hose needs to be higher than the washer exit if on a pedestal.
do you get any error?
