I like to use .psd files. But sometimes, more exactly, yesterday I couldn't open my important .psd graphic file.

it will be in your %temp%\..\..\Application Data\Adobe\Workflow

hi,
listen your psd file is only an image file. just uploading that wont make ur theme available in ur wordpress. you have to design your theme with HTML and CSS just like the one u see on the psd file. that is with reference u have to design it and then upload the html file , images and css to make ur theme available.

For working out given trouble you may use psd repair. Tool is able to recover corrupted and deleted psd files after power failures, viruses, hacker attacks. It starts under low system requirements.

I suggest the following which worked for me.
Open the Photoshop program folder and open the Plugins folder. Move all the plugins to a separate empty folder on your desktop. Be sure there are no files in the Plugins folder
Next restart Photoshop 2015. If it opens correctly replace the plugins, one by one, into the Photoshop Plugins folder and restart Photoshop 2015 after each individual replacement. When Photoshop 2015 stops starting correctly you have found the offending plugin(s).
After doing the above I found two plugins that caused my problem. Downloading updates for the offending programs that were created to solve Photoshop 2015 plugin problems and installing them solved the issues for me so I can use those plugins again.

Psd corrupted!!? (Layers Gone)
I don't think I've ever seen a PSD file corrupted on disk myself. Often it's a sign of system instability. Did you have a crash or power failure while it was saving (keeping in mind that it may appear to finish before it's actually all the way saved to disk)?

Are your disk hardware and file system healthy? Look in your event logs for any indications of failures.

Use a PDF maker, like Adobe Acrobat Pro. I assume the psd file is an Adobe Photoshop file. Perhaps there are even other "free" PDF program m's.

The best way would be to save the psd files in Photoshop as a jpeg first, because lots of other programs could convert this to PDFs.

Problem in opening picture files
Its possible that you installed a graphic program that upon install it changed the extension of your picture files. An example would be photoshop, This program could change your JPG files to PSD format upon install.
You can download a software program that can convert your pictures from the PSD ext. to JPEG. Once such program is (Easy Graphic Converter), It is Free... Another excellent program is Graphic Workshop. I think that one is trial but it has a time limit.

If you don't want to go that route you can go into your file ext. settings and change it to where a jpg file will be opened with another program other than PhotoShop. This might solve your problem.

To get to this screen, you can go into ( My Documents ) click on ( tools) at the top on the menu bar. Then click on ( Folder Options ). From there click in ( File Types ). Then find your JPG ext.
and it will tell you what program opens your jpg files. If it says CS3, change it to something else like WIndows Picture and Fax Viewer or something else.
