SOURCE: I need to change my oven ignitor and I need a diagram

Here's a diagram of the oven along with the Oven Ignitor (Part #19 on the diagram) and the Broiler Ignitor, (Part #26 on the diagram). They are located behind the gas deflectors located at the top and bottom inside the oven compartment, accessible from inside the oven, but you'll need to remove the rear panel at the outside back of the stove to disconnect the terminals tha supply voltage to the ignitors.

Be sure to turn the breaker off and/or unplug the range from the 220V-AC outlet first.

SOURCE: Frigidaire Stove clock resets to 12:00 when igniters turned on

I have the same problem. This is an intermittent problem, maybe once every 20 to 30 starts the clock goes resets and the appliance beeps just like if unplugged it and then plugged it in again. I’m an electrical engineer and this sounds like the microcontroller that runs the appliance is being reset by noise caused by the spark igniters. This is definitely a design problem. Separating the wiring of the igniters and the control board should help. When I get a chance I’ll have to connected an oscilloscope and look at the noise. The control board microcontroller reset pin probably needs an RC snubber or an isolated ground. If /when I find something more definite, I’ll place another posting.

Directions how to use self cleaning over on the fridge re gallery gas stove

Hello, Joan -

Clarification: You are asking about a Frigidaire Gallery model gas stove and how to use the self-cleaning feature for the oven? If so . . .

You will find the instructions here:

If you need the user manual for your oven, you can add the model number by choosing Comment and adding the information there, so I or someone else volunteering to answer on Fixya.com can look for and provide the right link for a download of a free manual.

I have a frigidaire gas stove model #FGF337AWJ.

I went through that once and believe it or not it was the ignitor. Instead of a thermocouple these new ovens use the amount of current going through the ignitor to prove the flame. Seems like after it gets ot a certain temperature the amps drop off enough to cut out the flame and then it will try to recycle. If it is not that it would be the thermostat but they very seldom go bad. I would reolace the ignitor first I think it will solve your problem.
