How do I fix Canon error message 2700?

Dear
Resetting the waste ink absorber on a Canon printer can resolve some error codes that appear when turning it on.

Make sure the printer is turned off.
Press and hold the Resume button (triangle inside a circle).
Whilst it is held down, hold down the Power button. The green led light should come on.
Keep the Power button held down. Release the Resume button and then press it twice. The light should go amber, then green again.
Release the Power button.
Press the Resume button four times and then press the Power button straight after to confirm the selected action (Reset Counter Absorber).
Turn off the printer and then turn it on again

Canon mx 850 problem is when the copy button is pushed to make a black and white copy the printer acts as if it is printng color. Prints very slowly. Phil

I do not know the Canon MX 850 but it seems like your printer is set to default to high quality printing. Check the setting in your Canon software for something like this.

This is a windows or software error code,Uninstall the scanner/printer software and reinstall from the CD

I have a canon mx 850 with an error code of 5B00, I work in a remote location, is there a way of fixing on site.

I am sorry to say that your ink absorbers have become full and require replacing. As the entire machine needs to stripped as the absorbers are right at the bottom, you will need to have this done by a canon repairer. Its a very complex job (and messy). He will also reset the software to clear the error.

Mx 850 gives error code 6A00 . We have purchased

6A00 means the purge unit is not cycling properly. If the printhead can come out of the right corner, you check there for paper scraps. If it's stuck on the right with this error you will need a shop to take apart and see if you need a new purge assembly. The part cost is only around $20.00

Error 6000 is a paper feed problem. Make sure paper is in the tray and nothing is blocking it.

If it's 6A00 then theres a problem with the cleaning unit where the printhead parks. Look for any paper scraps in that area, 6000 is a paper feed error saying something may have fallen in stopping the paper transport roller.

Take a flashlight and look inside the printer. Most likely there is something in the way of the printer carriage unit. Please see our video for reference:
