SOURCE: Jazzy 1200 power wheelchair is electrically

When you say inoperable I am assuming you are not getting a flash code on the joystick. I would check the wiring from the charge meter on the rear? console - you will see a yellow slug in the harness that has a fuse in it - check all the wiring from the meter as this can cause a 'power loss' problem. Of course, check the battery connections as well.

SOURCE: My wheel chair wont work

Hi,im disabled also. The sequence of the bleeps could be a sign to tell the manufacturer as to what part on it has gone wrong.its a basic as that, but you will not be given that info if you contacted the manufacturer, why?cos they dont give out technical info out to end users i.e. you as in the person who has bought the product, plus are you still under warranty.& give age concern a call they may have info on helping people in this situation.or look in directory for nearest repairer for your product, and the technical boys or girls there will be able to get hold of manufacturer and be given the explanation of a problem being they are qualifed.i really hope your back on your travels soon colin.

The number of lights that are blinking indicate what the problem is. Visit this site to locate the type on controller on your power chair and you will be able to see that the blinking lights mean:

Try to reset your manual brake release as this is a common problem.
If you continue to have a problem, contact your manufacturer or dealer for service. If your insurance purchased they power chair for you, they may also cover the cost of repairs.
Good luck!

I have to push joystick back to go forward. An forward to go back. Much faster in reverse too

if you look under the seat and see that there are little black switches, one of them maybe broken. if there are no switches on the seat post. then your joystick thinks you are a front wheel drive instead of a rear wheel drive chair. Someone with a programmer can reverse this. get ahold of these people at this link I give you to find a technician close to you.1-800-257-7955 or Mobility Parts and Service Official Rascal Parts Supplier

Does anyone have arepair manual for a rascal 300 I need to fix the electromagnetic brake

It is the same as a Rascal 600 only the 300 has smaller wheels.
The manual is not much help on the brake, it does not go into repairing the bake, except for checking voltages and replacing the microswitch, some tips are a little oil on the detent balls help to keep it free and movable, but don't get oil on the brake pad.

Cant figure out wether my rascal wheel chair has bad batteries or charger

After a full night charge with the joystick on, drive it around. If the battery drops off drastically the battery maybe bad. But the same maybe said of the charger, I recommend taking the charger to your local battery shop an have them test it for you.

Hello. I need a battery charger for a Rascal 325. This is the second one. It is not an OEM but a Prism GHC-244000IL-EMI 24V Model AE244000. They tell me at my scooter repair store that the OEM costs...

Any 4 amp charger you can find will work to charge your batteries. Preferably find one that has an on/off switch on the charger. You should be able to find one on ebay a lot less than what the scooter repair store quoted you Check around your neighborhood someone might have a second charger that they are not using. Since Medicare will pay for a new chair every 5 years someone might have a extra charger laying around. Hope this helps you

Motor on left wheel won't work. goes backward a little.

cacheroman If you are not getting a flash code on your joystick like 4 flashes pause 4 flashes then the problem is not with the motor or brake electrically but you have a gearbox problem. I don't remember if on that jazzy if you can order just a gearbox or you have to order the motor/gearbox assembly. Now if Medicare paid for your chair then they will pay for most of the repair cost. You can contact the provider that sold the chair or a service company that has techs to come out and repair your chair. Call Repair Xpress @ 1-877-581-3733 or Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 and see if they can help you Hope this helps

Shows full charge, goes ok for a little while but then stops turn off then on goes very slow for seconds then stops again.

Hi Susan, I repair power wheel chairs, Its possible that your chair has a bad battery on it , all p/chairs have 2 batteries. And even though you show a full charge one battery may have a bad cell in it you need to get both batteries load tested . I think you my find one of them bad. take them out of chair and have them tested. You can get replacement batteries , and have yours tested at a store that sells batteries only, look in yellow pages for a battery store . Good luck, Erik
