hi, in most cases it nothing to worry about , the shaft that runs from the motor to the axle bearing , the bearing where the noise is loudest. Brand new Scooters can develop this whining sound after only a couple of weeks. Normally louder when under load otherworld's going up hill etc. Regards Rob

Oh this is a classic mistake not laughing at you done it myself, the wires are arranged so that only two of the wires go back to the controller, follow the wires.Very important both leads do not go to the same battery, one goes to one battery say a red one +, the other one say black one goes to the -, the other remaining leads go to there respective colors. the remaining wires should test with a meter should be very low resistance like testing both ends of a single strand of wire. it is posible the batteries are not installed with the right poles or there may be a short, but more lightly the charger is dud.
