Stations don't ring even though day ring and night ring enabled.

My system would not receive calls (brief ring, then disconect). I reset by switching off then on. Now no stations ring. Line flashes and I can answer but only by pushing the line button. Day ring mode is unchanged (all on). Any ideas?

Sounds like the ring assignmet programming has defaulted.( all lines ring at station 4 only)
To change the ringing on a prostar 816 you first need to be at a display set (doesn't matter what the extension number is).
with the handset down enter #20 the screen should say MMC DISABLED
1) enter in 1 2 3 4 1 # (that enables programming)
2) enter in #62 the screen should say day ring assn
3) press the line you wish to program
4) press the buttons for the extensions that you wish to ring (the ones in the right next to the handset)
5) press # when finished with the line
repeat for each line

Remove the ringing from incoming calls on a norstar. I have multiple extensions in the building but want the incoming calls only to ring to a few extensions

You need administrative rights to get into the PBX. Once in there, you can assign which phones receive incoming calls. It has been years since I worked on the meridian system, so I can't tell you the way to do it, but it is in the manual. It's not complicated. You can also set it up for DAY/NIGHT mode so that in the evening, if required, all phones could ring on incoming calls so that anyone in the building can answer them.

Enabling a extension to ring on night mode

We may need to know the exact system you are using and the model of phone.

Also we will need to know the group number the system is using for night mode. Normally group number 601 is day and 602 is night. If you call 602 that would ring the phones currently in night. Also you can try calling at night and watch the screen of the phone that rings if its a smaller screen phone press the info button while its ringing and one of the options will show the night ring group number as well.
Respond to this and I can further help.

Cannot make video calls on Samsung Tocco

Normally, your service needs to be specifically enabled to make video calls (especially if this your first 3G phone and you've just used your SIM card from your old 2G phone). If this is the case ring your providers customer service and they should be able to enable it there and then.
Also, both you and the person you're ringing have to be in a 3G service area (often more limited than the general "voice call" coverage area).

Kxta824 disa help

Your system has 3 modes of operation, day, night, and lunch. Lunch doesn't have to be a specific time, and you could manually switch between the 3 modes. Most small customers don't even use NIGHT mode, except to control the voice mail system.

Full programming instructions are beyond the scope of the free forum, but in section 3.1 of the programming tool, you set the mode of the trunks for day/night/lunch. No matter what the status of the auto switching to day/night mode, you can still manually switch to lunch by dialing 782 from any phone, and manually switch back to day/night mode (780/781) to turn DISA mode on or off.

Now, you still can have different OGM's for day and night that will automatically work, and manually use the lunch to control the applicaion of DISA. Even if the receptionist steps away from the desk, you can go into 3.2 and turn on some delayed ringing, or anyone can put the system back in day or night mode.

Intertel GLX phone rings busy unless unplugged

You could have a bad phone try to swap it with a working one. If that does not work there could be a problem with the port in the system or cabling. Move to a new port or new cable

Night switching for KX-T7630

You have 4 different modes of calling available to be programmed: DAY NIGHT BREAK and LUNCH. Your installer has to set up the ICD groups, but you can create a LUNCH group which looks like the day mode but rings all phones. The codes are accessed by dialing on the intercom *780x where 0 is day 1 is night 2 is lunch and 3 is break.

You may use the NIGHT mode in the daytime, but if you have voice mail, it will play the night greeting instead of a day greeting.

Phone doesn't ring at station

Sounds like your station (phone) is set to not ring. You need to check your ring assignment.
Feat # *
Enter password (default is 000000)
Press the soft key under "show"
Press the soft key under "next" until 1. STATION appears in the display.
Press the soft key under "show" SHOW STA:_ appears.
Enter your station number and press the show soft key
Press the "next" soft key until RING ASSIGNMENT shows on the display.
Press the "show" soft key. You will see CO LINE 1 : followed by NONE or DAY or NITE or BOTH.

If it says NONE, your phone never rings for an incoming call. If DAY or NIGHT your phone rings depending on the time of day and the time definitions for DAY and NIGHT programmed into the KEY unit. If it says BOTH, your phone should ring all the time.

If you need to change the setting, press the "chg" soft key until the desired setting comes up.
When you're done with LINE 1, press the "next" soft key to move to the next line. Repeat the process for all your active lines. Obvisously changing settings on lines with no CO connection will have no affect.

While your in the mode, check your RECEIVE ASSIGNM as well to make sure your phone is configured to receive incoming call. It was the station feature just before the RING ASSIGNMENT feature.

Hope this helps.

Group forwarding after a delay

In memory block 4-1 for the extension's port, The Lkey for the CO line is lit green for immediate ringing, red for delayed ringing, and off for no ringing.

In memory block 1-1-77 you enter the CO's delayed ringing timer in seconds.

I wouldn't try and deal with seperating into tenants.

What I would suggest is in 4-19 restrict outbound trunk access (corresponding Lkey for CO line is lit to restrict)
For example:
Stations 1-4 would not be allowed to dial out on CO lines 5-6
Stations 5-6 would not be allowed to dial out on CO lines 1-4

This way Company A is not tying up Company B's CO lines for outbound calls and vice-versa.

Additional User Stations not Ringing

You would need to determine which NEC phone system you have and obtain a programming manual for the phone system. Your phone could be used on different NEC phone systems that program differently. Phones only have user guides that explain how to use the features.

You can set up your system with Night Ring and have different ringing rules when the system is put in night ring mode. It sounds like this is what you are looking for.
