McCall’s dress pattern m7536. Making dress A but don’t understand how to attach lining.

It's difficult to help since we don't know what the instructions say. You might take your project and the pattern instructions to the local fabric store and see if some of the helpful people there will give you some guidance.

How can I get instructions for pattern number M6288

Most likely, the best chances are to locate another copy of the same pattern. Instructions are generally not available without the pattern.

I have lost the instructions for a McCalls Sewing pattern. Pattern number 8264 a stuffed toy pattern. If anyone can help please.

You can look for duplicate pattern, however, if it is older, it may be difficult to find.

I don't understand when the pattern says 1st and 2nd rows set pattern Keeping continuity of pattern as set work 32 rows more. it does not look at all like the picture of the blanket I am knitting.

Depends on what the pattern stitch is. What it usually means is that the 2 rows form the pattern. that is, you keep knitting rows one and two until you reach the end. Depends on how many rows you have done already. It's sometimes difficult to see the finished pattern until you have knit a lot of rows. good luck

I have lost the instructions to McCalls Pattern No8042 for the Infants' and Preemie Layet which I bought many years ago! Can you please help me obtaining new Instructions, PLEASE???

Copyright laws don't allow copying the instructions and posting them online. But I can suggest re-buying the pattern (I found some on Etsy for as little as $3.99) or buying a similar pattern when Hancock or another fabric store has patterns for cheap. (They frequently have pattern sales for as little as $1.99.) An alternative source could be your local Salvation Army store, as many have older patterns--it doesn't have to be your exact pattern, just a similar looking layette pattern. The layette patterns should have similar sewing instructions, as long as the designs look similar.

Baby lock repair manual for oiling also have problem with top tension or bobbin tension not sewing right when I pick the sewing pattern and it's all over and thread loose and miss stitch. Is there a manual...

First thing, install a brand new needle. Old, damaged needles will skip stitches. Needles should be changed at least every 8 hrs of use.. You don't say which thread is loose. If top thread, remove the thread from the machine. ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot and rethread from beginning. Set top tension to midway point and re-test the machine.

If top thread is still loose, increase the tension. Tension is correct when both threads meet in the middle of the fabric. The two threads play tug-of-war against each other. When both tensions are even, the stitches will be uniform.

Understanding Thread Tension Threads

Free manuals are difficult to find for Baby Lock and service manuals are usually not available to the public. If your machine is computerized, it probably should not be oiled except by a qualified technician. If the machine is mechanical, most times a drop or two of "good quality" sewing machine oil applied every place where metal rubs metal parts will help the machine.

Started sewing backwards now not moving material at all

Sounds like the machine's age is causing the lubrication to get sticky.

Try changing the pattern by moving the pattern selector around.

Take out the bobbin and remove the thread and presser foot, raise the presser lever, set the pattern to zig zag, set the stitch length to maximum and run the machine at full speed. While it's running, repeatedly press the reverse lever all the way down. Run it for at least a few minutes.
