Game Cube will not read disks. Please help!

Every time we put a game in it runs for 30 seconds or so then stops and says there is an error and to read the instruction booklet. Some are a little scratched, but I dont see how all the games can not be read at the same time due to scratches! Is there any good way to clean them, or is it a console problem maybe?

The game cube will not read any of the disk. There is no error message. When I put the disk in the game cube it goes straight to the sytem menu. I think it may be something wrong with the "eye" that reads the games. what can I do?

You can clean the disks using tap water and then drying with soft cloth have you tried a lense cleaner to clean the laser on the cube get a good brand one not a cheap one also you can buy a disk cleaner that gently takes the scratches out of cds and gets them as new but you will have to shop around to get one but these work on anything cd dvd games the lot so deff worth having one as lots of people throw out dvds cd and games due to the scratches stopping them working but remember the data on a disk isnt on the plastic it is on the layey the other side of plastic the plastic is their to protect the data getting damaged so removing the scratches does not damage the disk if you have scratches this will affect the disk because the laser cant read through the scratch so polishing these scratches out will make the disk as new not many people know you can do this so consider yourself having privalaged info hope this is some help to you but you might have to ask arround for a disk repair so good luck you could even charge people to repair their disks and games this works for anything on a cd style disk.........................................................

My wii keeps ejecting my game cube games, even tho they are scratch free. I put the game in and the disc icon doesn't even spin as if the game is not there then after 3 seconds of putting the game in...

I had this same problem, its just a issue with the disk driver hand (Its the hand that pulls GC disk and Wii disk into the disk holder) to fix pick up the wii, tilt it upright (to where the back of the wii (where the USB ports are)) is facing the ground and the disk slot is facing the ceiling. Simply put the disk in the console and gravity should do the rest. Also the disk will eject really easily so don't worry about the disk getting stuck inside of the console.

Game disk was removed - ERROR

There can be two possible reasons. The first most likely reason, if it is on only 1 game, is that the CD has been damaged too much and cannot read everything on the CD that is has to read on some times.

The second option is that your Playstation is the problem. This is only if it isn't only for one game, but for multiple. This would mean your disk drive is damaged (usually by having an older console).

Game cube not reading disk

I have a game cube that does the same thing. I open it while it's turned off and put my finger on the eye and slide it back and forth a few time. It works after a few tries. I think the gears that move the eye are wore out.

Can't run Halo 3 at all.

Next to cleaning your CD good, try also getting the laser eye cleaned as well, this might help. Also, if the disk is too scratched up then it will not read it, the scratches might be too deep.

Gamecube won't read disks.

run a cd cleaner in the console, see if that works , you can buy them at any music store or even most suermarkets, or the laser could need ajusting , which will mean you need to take it to a service place, laser adjusting is not exspensive ,
