How do I enter field service mode to check on error codes to troubleshoot a problem, where the heater does not turn on, shutting down the unit into idle.
Ge Profile gas dryer DPVH890GJ, starts in any program, then shuts down after a few rotations, going back into idle, meaning, that the start/pause button starts blinking. I intended to read error codes, followed instructions on diagram sheet that was installed in dryer. It refers to 'being in idle', then having to press My Cycle and Dealy Start alternatively, but nothing happens. I tried pressing both for 3 seconds, nothing happens. The dryer behaves like gas is not being ignited, but I can't tell if it is actually the gas, the igniter, the sensor or the main board that is at fault, therefore wanted to access error codes.

If the error persist after clear procedure you need to check the fixing unit . Check the inner fixing film . If film is OK ( not damaged at the edges or worn out) the problem is the fixing heater anyway is better to replace the fixing film unit complete ( film and heater)
you can try to reset the code by entering into service mode, just enter into service mode and then shut down the machine by the main switch and then turn it on after 30 seconds.
For to enter into service mode press the following keys in the next order:
press the yellow key ; then press 1-0-7 and then press the red key and hold it pressed until on the screen do not show service mode.
If after this again the machine gives fusing error, it means that you have problem some part in the fusing unit. possible is the termistors or the teromstats

should give you two numbers on screen; type 0 then press "set" on screen to save.

have you checked the error codes on the heater?
you can do this by powering off the controler and pressing the up and down keys for a few seconds. this should take you into the diagnostics mode scroll using the up and down keys till you find the one that has the letter E on it and that will give you the last 8 error codes write them down and get back to me
To delay the 3 second shut down and enable the technician to access
service mode; open the front door and pull out the transport unit. Do not actuate front door microswitch.

clear. Power up machine and test. If the power shuts down after error code has been cleared,
the cause of the error has not been corrected. Correct cause of error
