My dryer comes on and spins, heat comes on but

Try checking the blower wheel just behind the front panel and see if it's loose or if you spin it without the tub moving, the blower wheel is probably stripped or you have no air flow. Take the vent off the back off unit see if you have air flow there. Remove all excess lint you see anywhere I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/william_e43a8a4d83a5f604

Dryer Timer Won't Advance in Auto Mode

Inside the dryer there should be two small metal strips (about 6-7 inches long and about 1/4 inch wide). These are the pieces that detect how much moisture is in the clothing. If possible, unscrew the plastic piece that they mount to, and see if the wires are still attached.

Bear in mind that "auto dry" doesn't usually work well unless you have a well filled dryer (one or two items may not come in contact with the sensors enough to tell the machine to continue heating— since it isn't coming in contact with wet clothing, it thinks the load is "dry".

The problem could also come from the circuitry in the control panel, but I would check these first. The fact that the machine works fine in regular timed cycle indicates that the upper limit and multi temp thermostats are working correctly.

As always, unplug the unit before unscrewing anything.

I have a DHDSR46EE1WW dryer..it starts to squeak

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE STARTING ANY REPAIRS
Your problem sounds like drum rollers have flat spots on them or in need of lubrication

If you have a front loading machine,

Remove the electrical console that holds the timer switch, start switch, etc. from the top of the dryer.
Be REAL CAREFUL not to knock any of the wires off of the timer switch. Then remove the top of the dryer.
Remove the front of the dryer. This will expose the drum and belt. Remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers, idler arm pulley and motor.
Now is a good time to check the belt to see if it has slipped off of the idler arm pulley and also check the belt condition for wear.
Be sure to note the route of the belt, this will come in handy when you go to reinstall the belt.
Check your drum rollers for flat spots, if they have flat spots on them replace them.
If the drum rollers don't have flat spots on them then they probably only need lubrication. Lubricate the shaft of the rollers with a good grade of machine oil such as 3 in One oil. Reassemble the dryer, plug back in. This should solve your noise problem.
I will include these two websites for parts and further help:

Both also have chat assistance 24/7.
Good Luck,

DOESN'T HEAT

Could be bad heat element. Lift top of dyer, or look from back side with access panel removed, or look thru door if glass door while dryer is running on a heat cycle. You should be able to see red glow of heat element coming on. If not then you will need to open up dyer and remove drum. Inspect heat element for break in coil or coils touching each other or metal frame of dryer. You can also use an ohm meter and read the restence of the coil ...should be just a couple of ohms. If it is a bad coil you should be able to replace fairly easy. If it is not coil than you will need to check themistor or cycle control switch. Hope this helps.

My dryer wont start but the light turns on

Here is a list of things to check: 1) Is the door switch broken? When you push it do hear a click?*****You will have to remove the top for the next step****2) Is the belt broken? This will stop the motor from turning on because if the belt breaks, the idler pulley will actuate the motor kill switch.3) Was there any type of smell, particularly hot, electrical smell? CORRECT INSTALLATION OF THE DRIVE

Hi istanfield...

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DO ANY WORK ON IT.
Sounds like your problem may be a broken belt, or the belt may have slipped off of the motor pulley, or idler arm pulley, or a faulty motor.
Note: This method works for most front loading machines.
If you have to check/replace/repair your drum motor, drum seals, belt, rollers, etc.
If replacing drum seals be sure to use a good grade of weather proof cement to hold the seal/s in place, some seals are furnished with the cement to glue it in place.
Remove the electrical console that holds the timer switch, start switch, etc. from the top of the dryer if necessary. Be real careful not to knock any of the wires off of the timer switch or other electrical connections.
Remove the lint filter and the two screws that hold the filter housing to the top of the dryer lid.
Then remove the top of the dryer by inserting a screwdriver between the top and frame on each side of the dryer to pop the lid up from the retaining clips.
Note: Some of the tops tilt backwards on a type of hinge and do not have to be removed completly.
Remove the front of the machine by disconnecting the door switch and removing the two screws located on either side of the dryer frame.
Move the door and front of machine forward to remove.
This will expose the belt, idler bracket and drum, remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers, idler arm bracket with pulley, and motor with pulley. Pay attention to the route of the belt, this will come in handy when you go to reinstall the belt and drum.
Sometimes the belt will slip off of the idler arm or motor causing the drum not to turn.
Note:The way the belt goes back on is, as the belt comes off the drum has to be doubled (pushed together to form a loop) and goes under the idler pulley then to the motor pulley.
Here is a link to see a picture of your belt routing in case the belt is broken when you open your dryer:

While you have the drum out, I would recommend that you remove and lubricate the drum rollers.
And also clean the shafts of the rollers as they will collect hair, dust, etc and cause problems and then lubricate the shafts and rollers with a good grade of machine oil like 3 in One oil or a vasoline type of lubricant. This will save you a problem later with the rollers getting dry and making a squeeling noise, also check your drum rollers for flat spots, if they have flat spots on them this will cause a thumping type noise.
You will need to replace the drum rollers if they have flat spots on them.
Please take time to rate men four thumbs up

My GE electric dreyer, DHDSR46EGWW,

It could be the rear bearing or if not it have your honey take it apart again and inspect the rear rollers, if they turn freely then inspect the front bearing assy it is on the the door and if it looks worn down then it is allowing excessive pressure on the rest of the unit .
