What happens when you change the monitors to the different ports? Does the violet monitor stay violet when it is plugged into the other video port?
I am guessing that the monitor that is violet is using a VGA connection
The most common cause of a monitor displaying a pink or violet color cast is that one of the RGB conductors in the VGA cable is broken, or the plugs are not firmly seated in the sockets, leading to one color not firing on the monitor. Try a different cable. Try plugging it in with DVI instead.
My experience is that after charging for some tens of minutes it will start. But I seem to be unable to charge the battery enough to have it work for long.
i don't have the solution but i experienced the same problem on my olympus 850sw the images turns violet and the pixels are distorted never see this kind of error ever a camera had
