It asked me if I wanted to restart toupdate and I pushed restart now and the screen went black but, it's still running???

Ram chips may be bad. Test it using an external monitor. If the problem does not occur on external monitor then you lcd screen may be going bad

hp mini screen is black after i turn it on...any suggestions?????

keep pushing f2 now youll see the page use arrow keys change your boot log f12 now restart it back up on a f12 now it going ask you do you want run windows go there.

Record the beeps as long and short and look up the code at the manufactures website or come back with the beep codes.

I would suggest to enter "safe mode" and then do system restore again. To do this you need to follow these steps.
1.Turn your PC on and press F8 on start up. This should take you to the screen asking what you want to do. 2. Choose safe mode from the list and press enter. 3. Once safe mode loads you should be asked if you want to restore your system to previous state. Just press no to run system restore and follow steps (you already know how to do this)
Shutting your computer down without closing operation system properly may cause start up issues like this one.

Resetting your GPS could solve the problem .

Here is how to reset your NUVI :

1:Turn the Nuvi on.

2:Touch the tools icon on the main screen. The tools icon is represented by a wrench surrounded by a blue circle.


3:Touch the "Settings" icon which appears as a wrench.

4:Push the "Restore" button at the bottom of the screen. A confirmation message will appear asking to confirm restoring the Nuvi to factory settings. Push yes to restore the factory settings

Try this for hard reset .

Turn off Garmin device. Press down on bottom right corner of the touchscreen [ Don't let go ] , and then power on the GPS unit. You should be prompted whether do you really want to erase all user data, or asked if do you really want to start up in maintenance mode. Press “Yes” to reset (warning: all data will be erased and lost, so backup before proceeding) or enter maintenance mode.

PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO RATE !

To enter safe mode you have to hit F8 during the boot up sequence.

Take it to a Acer authorized dealer to have the cmos cleared, try to run a repair to your operating system from the cd.
