Hey Huseyin,
Of course! In order for your laptop to recognize any external device such as your Mp3, drivers for the device need to be installed by windows ( or any other OS)
Seven (7) possible scenarios:

  1. The device i.e your mp3 already has driver built into it & will be installed automatically.
  2. Windows recognize your device because Windows has the drivers preloaded in it.
  3. Your OS is not up to date with Windows Update in which case it will ask to go to Windows Update.
  4. You will have to go the manufacturer of your mp3 to download drivers that are compatible with your OS
  5. All of the drivers are outdated.(rare but possible)
  6. You will have to go to a third party website possibly pay for drivers.
  7. Try plugging your mp3into a another Port on your laptop directly. (avoid the extended usb ports if you have one)
Here is a link to windows update

Yes, the drivers have to be installed in order for the computer to identify any device attached to it.
If your laptop is a windows machine you can check whether drivers are installed by entering device managerand checking whether there are any items under the "other devices" drop down. The exclamation mark on that tab indicates that the drivers are not installed.
If your mp3 is attached to the computer and not listed there it will be in need of the appropriate drivers

If you connect your computer with the Ethernet adapter you should be able to get internet. Generally the drivers for Ethernet cards are generic and it will work without drivers so you can download your drivers.

Iam trying to get music on there from my windows vista lap top is a play list i created it says on lap top its on there but when i unplug it and try to play it on mp3 it keeps saying no autority

Update your USB Drivers, you'll be able to accomplish that by visiting the Web Site of the manufacture of your computer. Search for drivers and downloads, when your on the site. Your looking for driver signiture "USB 2.0". It might download as a zip file, that case, download to desktop, unzip into a folder call cab,(it should tell you were it wants to unzip to) find Install.exe in that folder, and install USB drivers.

My new DVD player will play all CDs except the ones I burned on my laptop. Why is this and how can I get the DVD player to play those CDs? when I record a dvd on my lap top it will allow me to play it...

Hi,
it,s one of 2 things.
1:) your recording MP3 to CD. Only recognised on a PC, or MP3 Player. The standard CD Format Is WAV.
If you burn with Nero. you should have a tickbox Which Says ( Normalise all audio Files )
2:) the disk is not finalised. Closed having written the T.O.C Table-Of Contents. this is to allow the reader viewing it, what is actually written on the disk.
