Green photo capture button flashing with unable to print flashing too when trying to access machine maintenance mode.

The error code 50 indicates a paper jam condition. Whether there's actually still paper jammed or not, it's sensors are still indicating a jam. Check again for a bit of paper, or there may be a faulty sensor.

1) Enter machine maintenance mode (on MFC210C all four photo/copy/fax/scan lights flash in maintenance mode). Care is needed in maintenance mode, otherwise critical settings may be inadvertently corrupted.

• Switch on the machine while holding down the “menu”button until all the leds are flashing on/off. Now you are in “maintenance” mode.
• Press 80
• Press the “mono start” button several times until you see “purge: xxxx”
• Press “2783” in order to reset the purge counter. You will see: “purge:0000”
• Press the "stop" button.
• Press “99” to exit the maintenance mode.

This is on this website somewhere. I used it and it certainly did fix my printer! This is what I did:

"1) Enter machine maintenance mode (on MFC210C all four photo/copy/fax/scan lights will flash when in maintenance mode).( The user can establish the internal Machine Error Code as follows: pull the main power cable out of the machine (power off). While holding down the Menu/Set key, re-insert the main power cable into the machine (power on). The internal Machine Error Code Access will be displayed.") press menu then start bk copy then fourtimes arrow-up button (tel.index) quick after another.

machine will be in maintenance mode and lights will flash.

press start bk copy in case machine wont directly display the error code.

Error starting with 4 means defective print head.
Error starting with 5 menas defective purge station or cycle problems.

both error series means: you need a new printer...

press menu then start mono (blue button) then fourtimes arrow up (tel-index). Machine will be in maintenance mode and lights will flash. What error code does the machine display?
