SOURCE: regency scanner r1070 error message fr err, will not scan

I'm assuming you know already, but just in case you don't. You need to be scanning in supported ranges, those are:

30-50 Mhz
144-174
440-512

SOURCE: Scanner will not scan the 800 band

You didn't mention your location or the type(s) of digital system signals you lost, but if you've been listening to an EDACS system it's possible that the manager has switched on the PROVOICE security option. That would prevent your scanners from recognizing the effected users and would also account for both scanners being effected. If your area is using EDACS I suggest that you visit www.RadioReference.com to check on system particulars.

The PRO-95 is also known for losing its logic and requiring a RESET or INITIALIZE, although it would odd for two units to go squirrelly at the same time.

If all else fails, you can RESET or INITIALIZE the scanners to bring them back to normal operation.

To RESET:
- Power the scanner OFF
- Power the scanner back ON
- Insert a pointed object (paper clip, penpoint, etc.) into the RESET hole on the back of the scanner
- Gently press and then release the RESET button inside the hole.

NOTE: RESET will NOT erase the data that you've programmed into the scanner.

If RESET doesn't clear the problem, you can carry out the more drastic INITIALIZE process.

- Power the scanner OFF
- Power the scanner back ON
- Press 0 then 1 while "Welcome to Dual Trunking" is displayed.
- "Initializing Please Wait" will appear for about 2 seconds.

DO NOT power the scanner OFF until the INITIALIZE process is complete (M000 and Bank 0 Ch 00 appear on the display). The INITIALIZE procedure will reset the scanner to original factory settings and erase all data that you have programmed.

I have a Regency Touch K 100 ( NO MANUEL ) Scanner

I have searched like crazy and cannot get you a specific answer. I found the Manual for sale on eBay in PDF format.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Regency-Touch-K100-Scanner-Manual-PDF-File_W0QQitemZ150385008548QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2303a51fa4

For $5 it might be worth it.

Scanning 110 negative film

I just finished scanning many 110 film strips. You need to lay the strip along the inside edge of slot A and scan in normal preview mode. On the preview strip, put a marquee around each individual photo and scan each one separately. Worked fine for me.

I dont no how to program my regency z30 scanner

To program the Regency Z30

1. Press "MANUAL"
2. Enter the frequency you want, example 162.475
3. Press "ENTER"
The display will show "Ch_" with the _ (underscore) flashing
4. Enter the number of the channel where you want to store the frequency.
Note: channels 1 thru 9 must have a zero before them, example 01, 02,........ 09
If you wish to add more frequencies at this time, got to step 2.

To lock out a channel, press "SCAN" and while the unit is scanning,
enter the channel number. Repeat this action to unlock a channel.

To increase or decrease the scanning2.gif rate, press the "SPEED / ENTER" key while the unit is scanning.

To create a delay after a transmission, press the "DELAY" key while the unit is scanning.

You can change the display by pressing the "CHANNEL / DISPLAY" key. There are 3 choices: display only the channel number, only the frequency,or alternate displaying the channel number and the frequency.

FINDING FREQUENCIES

87ff97c.jpgNo it can't sorry. If you want to scan things all the way up to the 900 MHz frequency you should get a Regency Touch K500. Its not a portable scanner however. It may be a little hard to find because Regency went out of business a while back, but look on e-Bay you'll find it there.

Looking To Buy A good scanner? Is The BCD396T The way to go?

A good scanner? Hmm... too many to list. But the #1 on my list is a Realistic PRO-2006 gapless frequency scanner. This scanner has no limitations to what it can scan. It scans HF/FM/AM/VHF/UHF/Air/TAC/Marine VHF/GMRS/CB/SSB/USB/LSB/WX. Hell, it even scans the FM and AM bands (the music bands). It's frequency range is up in the 1300 MHz range and is probably the only scanner you'll ever need. If it's too pricey, my second recommendation is a Regency MX4000. The Regency MX4000 is a good little scanner with a 950MHz range. It is not gapless however. It has 20 Memory channels and scans AM/FM/UHF/VHF/Air/Marine VHF/Mobile Phone/WX bands. It may be hard to find one because Regency went out of business a while back, but if you do find one, it may be worth your while.

Uniden sc230 scanner

The lock out function is a common problem in scanners, to override the lockout command, you can press and hold the lock out button, or punch in the frequency that you locked out and unlock it by pressing the appropriate buttons depending on the model of your scanner. Here is a suggestion, for easy scanning I recommend a Regency Touch K500 Scanner. It may be hard to find one though, Regency went out of business a while back, but I had the K500 and it was the best scanner I ever had.
