If you are handy, you can do this. Most trimmers some with a very short cord to which you are expected to attach a extension cord. What exactly did you cut? If the short cord that may have come with it ... disassemble the body of the machine and reconnect a shorter (the one you cut) cord. If it was the extension, that is easy. New ends available ar your hardware store.

If there is a trick part,it is in reassembly. Pay attention to how it was configured when you took it apart.

hope this helps

LG Ground terminal block wire exploded. Need to replace entire harness and 4-prong power cord. Do I really need to replace the entire harness or can I buy a new terminal block and cut the black grounding...

you can buy a new block and you don't have to replace the whole harness if the wire just burnt at the block, you can cut it,put on another wire connector and reconnect it to the block with the cord, make sure when you're done all the nuts and connectors are tight so this doesn't happen again and use the metal cord bracket,if it's not on your cord buy one,it holds the cord in place so when the dryer moves it holds the cord in place,if you don't use it the cord could cut on the metal frame and the wire connectors on the block will come loose from the cord moving or vibrating with the dryer running

Power supply was cut

you can buy a new power cord or you can use another wire to replace the cord. just buy the same size then you will need to remove the rear cover to access the internal. and then the old cord must be removed from the ac terminal pin and the assembled wire with plug that you buy can be replaced. you can directly re soldered the end of the ac wire at the pcb for ac supply.

How to put a new cord to a sawzall?

you can buy a replacement cord from just about any shop or go to milwaukeetool.com for an exact replacement. UNPLUG tool and remove the handle half, make note of the wiring, if the ends of the cord are soldered you will need a paper clip to release them from the switch, just slide the clip next to the wire and PULL GENTLY to remove, Solder the new ends using the old cord as a template and when inserting pull gently to make sure the wire end seated into the switch. Reinstall the handle half and test.

Where can I purchase a replacement power cord?

Make your own. If you cut through the cord by accident you can go down to your local hardware store and buy a piece of wire that is the same gauge as the one on the saw. Get a standard plug end too and wire it up the same way the saw is wired. You can splice into the existing wire off the saw, just make sure you use plenty of electrician's tape and that the wires are insulated from each other.

The wire is been cut?

If you are talking about the plug wire, you can repair it with some connectors and electrical tape, or buy a new cord at any hardware store and replace it. This is a very easy way to go.

I want to replace the cord/plug is it easy?

Malibu power packs are 1-piece units that can't be taken apart.
However you can cut off the cord and leave about 4-6" of cord sticking out, and then splice into the cord that's sticking out.

Usually I buy heavy orange or black extension cord with male-female plugs on each end.
I cut off female end and use that end to splice into the cord that's sticking out.

How to splice wire.
Use knife and slice down the cord lengthwise... just cut through the outer plastic covering.
Pull the outer cover cover back to reveal black and white wires.
Cut off extra cover.
Cut back insulation on each black and white wire.
Now you have 2 black wires and 2 white wires/
Twist together the copper wire on whites and cover with plastic electrician tape.
Do the same with copper wires on blacks.
Now the blacks are joined/ and whites are joined, and each has tape over copper wire.
Wrap black tape around both sets of wires until all the black and white is covered with several wraps of tape.
That's it. Plug it in.

How to replace the electric cord

If it is the power cord, it should be of the universal kind. If it is the RCA cables, youu will have to strip back the wires and solder the ends together matching the wire colors. Tape up with insulation tape and "bob's your uncle"

Power cord has been cut

Yes you can replace the entire cord, or you can splice the cord back together. Get some crimp on wire connectors get a tube of heat shrink that will fit over the cord, cut back the insulation crimp, the wires back together (match color to color). heat the shrink or tape it up. Back in business.

Where can I BUY THE cords at.

I've never seen the ad for a weed thrasher but, as far as a replacement cord goes. You can buy a extension cord of the same size and install it. Just cut off the end. The wires within the cord need to be the same size or bigger, never smaller. Also it's important to replace a 3 wire cord with a 3 wire cord. You can use a 3 wire cord with a machine that came with a 2 wire cord, just cut off the green wire at the machine end. Your wire colors should be white, black, and green. Black and white are your power wires and green is your ground. Usually black and white are interchangeable but, on occasion switching them may make the unit run backwards so install them in their original position. Write down where they where hooked up and install your new cord in the same places.
