Disassemble brookstone messager?

Unit runs, but acts like the drive is disconnected inside so it no longer vibrates. I can hear it run, but no motion. Can's see how to disassemble the unit to check it out. Anyone have any experience with this?

There are three or four small white plugs along one side of the body of the massager as well as a large round one at the articulated elbow. Get under these with a sharp knife, pop them out, and there are your screws. Remove the screws and pry the two halves of the body apart carefully to make sure the components stay in the general seating arrangement. That should get you started on the road to discovering what has failed...probably a counterweight has come unfastened from the motor shaft. While your in there, disconnect the overcharged, dead battery, and connect the leads to the charger wire and now you can just plug it in the wall and go go go.

A lot of these units have clips that hold the case together. Using a screwdriver to open up the case is the way to get into the ones we have in our house.

Why did the brush roller stop spinning?

With the cleaner unplugged, turn the unit over and look inside the opening where the brush is located. Do you see the clogging of the brush with lots of hair? If so, you will need to disassemble it to remove the hair. In any case, you will probably need to take off the cover to see if there is an obstruction jamming the brush. Also, check to make sure that motor for the brush is getting power. If there is an electrical cable on the outside connecting the brush housing to the rest of the vacuum cleaner, check if it is disconnected. When you have the cleaner on, do the lights glow? Do you hear the motor running? Try the above and report back.

How to disassemble

Most speaker enclosure's, both wood composition and metal are hermetically sealed. This prevents damage to integral parts or moisture buildup. When a small speaker is malfunctioning, the magnet or cone may have sustained damage and is no longer viable. It is better to replace the entire unit than try to repair the interlace works.

I can not get the Brookstone scanner mouse to install on a Windows 7 Professional Laptop?

Make sure you install with administrator privileges (right click run as administrator)
http://www.brookstone.com/webassets/downloads/ScannerMouse_817873/windows-driver_817873p.exe
why not disconnect the mouse and use the trackpad/buttons until it asks you to connect it?

BROOKSTONE HDMI PROJECTOR 801143 DOES NOT CHARGE

The Brookstone manual claims it will fully charge after 3-5 hours, but it takes much longer then that. Mine does not indicate green light, but it seems it stops blinking red when its fully charged. After that it run on power directly from the ac-adapter.

If you keep it connected to the AC-adapter after it have stopped blinking red (do not disconnect it at all), it will start to run on the adapter and will not turn off. You will feel the AC-adapter gets hot while its running, something it does not while regular charging.

If it still dont stop blinking red after having it connected to power for 3 days, your AC-adapter is probably faulty. This happened to me, and after allot of research I found this replacement from a US seller on ebay (only five dollars included shipping).

Good luck with your projector. It a really cool little thing, but it has some design flaws.

Best regards.

Frigidaire refrigerator not cooling or freezing

Is the compressor running? Do you hear it running or do you feel it vibrating slightly and being warm? What temperatures are the refrigerator and freezer section at? Has the unit defrosted at all recently, and have you cleared the vents inside of food items (no blockages) and cleaned the coil and vents underneath the unit?

GE TBX23 will not get cold. It has not been run in a year. Any ideas?

the obvious things to check is the temp gauge inside the fridge. is it turned up far enough? if so, then the gas inside the fridge is no longer useable. meaning you cant use the fridge anymore and a replacement is required.
even though the fridge has not been used in over a year, the gas inside acts just like battery does, if a battery does not get used for so long, the power still runs out and eventually the battery looses its charge, the gas in a firdge acts the very same way

Brookstone Pure Ion Pro clicking noise, ineffective. I understand the "sparking" is ok, but my unit doesnt "spark". The fans run, and the unit makes two different clicking noises; ...

did you ever figure out the clicking noise problem?
mine stared doing the same darn thing after I whashed the filters and inserted them into the units, I used the builted in drying setting, and thats when the problem started. I know you are not supposed to run the unit with a wet filter, thats why I put it on the dry mode first. I think I am just going to return them back to Brookstone.

Disk is not readable by the computer.

Try a different "data" cable between your computer and the external disk-drive.

Try connecting the unit to a different computer.
If it fails there, then the unit itself has a problem:
Either:
* the USB-to-disk-drive adapter (inside the casing) has failed;
* the disk-drive (inside the casing) has failed.

Disassemble the external unit, and remove the disk-drive. Connect it as a "slave" disk-drive in some Apple Computer, to see if the data on the disk-drive can still be accessed.

Check with LACIE, to see if their "warranty" is still valid, or if it has expired.
