Why are Flash videos not playing on my computer, especially Firefox 30. Any suggestions?

Okay, so this problem started abruptly two days ago. I suspect my plugin is not working because Flash videos (Youtube and other streaming sites) are working on IE. I've tried reinstalling Firefox, disable and re-enable flash plugin, edited for protectedmode=0 and also disabled hardware acceleration. It just won't start working! Even html5 doesn't seem to be working on Firefox. Also I checked on IE, it seems only YouTube is working. Dailymotion is working, using the flash plugin. The other site I'm referring to is kissanime.com (html5 and flash videos) not working. I also installed Chrome to check if it only is a FF problem or not. Youtube works on Chrome using html5, but kissanime doesn't.

You probably have to unistall flash on firefox.

  • Go to adobe flash download page. 32 bit or 64 bit for your system configuraton
  • Make sure you check that the latest version is available (which will show in the browser window)
  • Download the flash uninstaller. Scan with your AntiVirus
  • Run the uninstaller then reboot the system.
  • Then install the flash update download
Adobe Search flash
Uninstall Flash Player Windows

Try starting FF in Safe Mode (available from the same folder where the executable resides) and see if some Add-In is the cause. If it plays normally after that try disabling the add-ins one at a time until you find the culprit.

You seem to be talking about 2 problems.

When i try to watch a video on youtube where the video plays turns green and it causes flash player to turn off how do i fix this

Update of Flash player can help. If you use IExplorer, you can try with Mozilla Firefox browser, because flash plugin is little different in coding. If you can not see in real time video, you can download from YouTube to computer and than you can play (I suggest VLC player). You can download with installing DownloadHelper plugin in Firefox. It will add icon with rotating points with some arrow. You just click on arrow and you have list of videos for downloading. FLV is for flash, and MPG for MPEG video coding (the same video is in different quality). Sometimes your problem can be with directx. Try to update it too.

The music videos won't play

Hi, the videos may not play if the Adobe Flash Player in the computer may corrupt or not updated to latest version. Please download and install the latest version of the Mozilla Firefox and then download and install the Adobe Flash Player. Please restart the Mozilla Firefox and visit the Youtube. Now the Videos should be playing.

Please search in google as Mozilla Firefox and Adobe Flash Player to get the download link for the Mozilla Firefox and Adobe Flash Player.

When i click on youtube videos, the screen comes up but doesnt play it just stays black.

I've had this issue too on my HP G72.
Install any updates to Adobe's Flash player. If this doesn't work try reinstalling Adobe Flash.
Also make sure to install any available updates to your computer. Hopefully these tasks will work. My Youtube video's randomly started just showing black a few months ago, especially whenever a HD/even 420p video was played.
Best of luck!

My youtube videos get stuck up every single time they won't play they get stop

Hi!
Try these suggestions:
* uninstall and reinstall flash player. Get it HERE.

* use the most recent version of your internet browser. I strongly suggest Firefox 3.6 anyways...

* clear your browser cache files (in IE, go to internet options then Delete under browsing history; In Firefox go to Tools, then Clear recent history and select Everything in time range).

* clear Temp files (Start->Run->%TEMP%. Delete all contents. Don't worry about some files that can't be deleted).

* uninstall any video/audio codecs installed on your computer. Restart and install K-Lite Codec Pack

Good luck!

Have you downloaded the newest version of Firefox, came out a week or so ago. It asked me to download a new version of java which I did.
