I would think that any gun shop should be able to help you locate one of these.

Go to Numrich/Gunparts Corp., they have a parts schematic for your Remington 582.

according to The Remington Society of America, probably mfg. in 1936. Hope this helps

Go to the Remington Firearms Co. website. At the top of the page, click on Support, then click on Owners manuals. They list the Remington model 12 as one of the one's they have. It will be a photo copy of the original owners manual.

Remington is no longer in production. Often eBay is the only source for replacement parts. The motor for any model Remington cannot be found. We rarely get questions about McCulloch or Poulan electrics, I suspect a much higher quality saw that will need few if any replacement parts. Wen is back in production, they used to be a quality product they might be worthy a critical inspection. $22 would be a god start toward a replacement saw.
