Will run thourgh cycles but only a little water will go in

Check fill line for a kink, (remove kick panel on bottom of dish washer)
If no kink then replace fill valve. Unplug dish washer fill valve is where water line is hooked on.

Dish washer runs all cycles but no water entering dish washer

Make sure you check that the water is turned on to the dishwasher.
Check for a kinked or squished fill hose. If all else fails its most likely you need a new fill valve for your dish washer.

We have hard water at our home, but the new dishwasher leaves a thick film on the glasses. We use the rinse agent, but it's awful.

You have to buy a cartridge type water softener and attach it to the
inlet water line of your dish washer. In addition to this there must be
a salt compartment in the dish washer.
Refer the user guide /owners manual and locate. Fill it with the special
dish washer salt. ( Do not use kitchen salt used for food).
The dish washer salt may help to certain extent in softening the wash
tub water inside. Check the switch settings for rinse aid and salt
release settings in the machine. Refer manual!

My new dishwasher leaves a white residue on my pots. pans and stainless flatware. I have not changed soap. Could the water not be hot enough?

Check the incoming water quality. If water is hard and having calcium content this could happen. Use water softeners in the inlet water to the machine.

If dish washer salt compartment available fill with the special salt meant for dish washers.

Check rinse aid compartment and fill rinse aid. Or use two in one soap tablet.

Water fill problem on Hotpoint Dish Washer Deluxe Model DF 31

Pl check the small filter fitted near the water inlet hose. Probably you may have to pull this filter as this is housed in the threaded pipe attached to the body.

Remove the hose from the machine and try flushing. see whether you get sufficinet pressure from over-head tank!

Clean the filter with tooth brush or reverse clean. Do no for get to fit rubber washer.

Fills water goes through program drum dose not

Remove the motor, and check the brushes in the motor, if o/k, then could be a board prob, or something as simple as a broken or bad connection.

Kenmore stack washer and dryer

gabehart....sounds like belt is slipping. Replace it. The water pump is on a separate smaller motor so is not affected by the agitator/spin motor.

Dishwasher problems

TURN POWER TO OFF ... REMOVE THE LOWER RACK. THE SPINNING SPRAY BAR USUALLY WILL LIFT SRAIGHT-UP AND OUT ... INSPECT TO SEE IF ANY THING IS IN THERE TO PREVENT IT FROM SPINING FREELY ... THEY SPIN BY WATER PRESSURE SO THE NEXT THING TO CHECK IS THE WATER SUPPLY VALVE (MOST OF THE TIME IT IS RIGHT UNDER YOUR SINK.) AND THE STARAINER is LOCATED WHERE IT CONECTS TO THE DISH WASHER. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BUCKET AND RAGS HANDY FOR SPILLS... CAREFULLY TURN THE VALVE OFF AND REMOVE THE COMPRESSION FITTING NUT THAT IS ON THE "SIDE CLOSEST TO THE WASHER".... THEN CRACK THE VALVE OPEN AND FILL THE BUCKET UP A FEW TIMES TO ENSURE GOOD WATER FLOW. TURN VALVE "OFF" AND GO TO WERE THE LINE OR HOSE CONNECTS TO THE WASHER. REMOVE THE CONNECTION ... INSIDE YOU SHOULD FIND A STRAINER THAT MAYBE CLOGGED UP. CLEAN-IT AND MAKE SURE TO TIGHTEN ALL THE CONNECTIONS BEFORE STARTING A TRIAL RUN. NOTE: THERE IS A SOLENOID INSIDE THE MACHINE THAT CAN STICK AND GET CLOGGED BUT USUALLY ITS THE VALVE OR THE STRAINER. GOOD LUCK AND STAY DRY ... Joe_Rex
