How do I fix my RCA television when it starts on its own, changes channels and volume by itself and will not stay put on the selected program when I turn it own...also it shuts down on its own?

Try by pressing "0, 0" by remote control. If it do not changes, there is no other way with select it by universal remote control.

You need to change the picture-size by using the TV remote and or cable remote.
On the remote look for P-Size, Zoom, Sreen size or Ratio.

It's common on the RCA for the control buttons on the tv to give trouble. Disconnect the buttons and try again.

Press Setup until you see AutoProgram... press Volume ... you will see the channels start to change. It will cycle to ch 62 or so, then go back and do the lower channels. as soon as it hits 3, quickly press Setup. it will stay on ch3, if not do it again. Once you get it on ch3, press setup until you see Channel Add/Del ... press Volume to add it. Press setup until screen is cleared. Ch /- should now toggle between 3(cable) and 91(a/v in)

try unplugging and plugging back in 2 minutes later. go to menu and find channel selection. scroll down to where it says channel. then using volume up and down buttons. will add or erase channel. just play with it and you will see what im talking about. go to channel 4 and press volume up. this will save channel 4 in memory. if no work, try turn on video souce and do a auto program in menu. fixed. enjoy!

CHANGE ALL SWITHES ON CONTROL PANEL, POWER, BOTH VOLUME UP AND DOWN AND CHANNEL UP AND DOWN. THEY ARE LEAKY

if you can bring up the menu try using the volume up / down and channel up/down on the remote to change your selection. that might work
