Know this group of sets well: before you turn it on with it plugged in do you hear any odd buzz from the set? (with set off)These sets with this issue 95% of the time have a bad sweep transistor (shorted) and a bad High Voltage Transformer--sounds serious but with Generic parts cost for parts would be under 30 dollars--about 30 minutes to locate and replace same.Questions?

Without its original remote control it is difficult to unlock your RCA tv. If you haven't one, try to get it from any one amoung your friends who owns your model for just to unlock your TV. If you can do this, inform me by Fixya. I'll send you the proceedings to unlock your RCA TV. ok.

If you forget your password, press and hold TV on the remote and the
MENU button on the television
simultaneously for 3 seconds. Parental
controls will then unlock and you can re-enter a password via Lock
Parental Controls.

Make sure you aim the remote at the TVs sensor while you press the TV button, and hold the menu button in on the front of the television.

You maybe able to unplug the tv for sometime and wait awhile then plug it back in and this might possiblly reset it.You can look to the users manual to check or go to the rca website and see if they can give you a solution. Or if you look carefully with a fine tooth comb on the back of the tv panel there might be a little hole that maybe a pen can fit into that will say reset.but not all tvs have that feature.Sorry i didnt have a better solution for you. It may not be possible to get off the TV but try the code 0000, 1234, 1111, 7777, and 9999. Many times these are default lock codes. Also, what is the model # of the TV, it should be on the back on a label on the TV..

Just to see if the set reacts and it does something different tap the sides of it,dont over do it ,I should not take much to see a reaccion if it has a loose conection,If it reacts check for loose conections in the power supply,horizontal driver transformer and any overheated areas specially after the output transformer.If you are familiar with tv service this should help but if you are not be safe and call for assistance from a servicer.

Keep down the colour completley, and note whether you get a pure black and white picture. If not adjust the cutoff control, normally these are preset controls fitted on the base card of the TV; to adjust the excess colour seen on the screen to increase or decrease; so that you can get a clean black and white pocture with no tint on it. it is a time taking task; and should have some sort of skill and more patience. Sometimes you may have to retune other two cutof controls [Blue and Green], too to get the desired effect.

ok its not a cap problem.. memory ic problem...u have to replace memory ic the nos are i think 24c16 or24c08
u have to buy the memory by giving ur model no of the tv

You have to put you TV in AV Mode. You don't use the "Channels Tuner" on this type of input. But use Audio Visual Mode.

Are you technically inclined ? If you are then you may want to check for cold solder connections on your driver transformer.

Poor TV reception or if it's the tuner put a cable box and bypass the tuner
