I bought a sandberg usb mini DVD burner. tries you use it with myToshiba laptop (also my microsoft rt) can herar disc turning bur computor won't open. i think the LT regonise burner but won't run disc. i am using windows 8.

The Microsoft Surface has a USB connect.. if the software is compatible for Win 8RT you can copy to a USB thumb drive then copy to the surface,, you might also to try a portable CD/DVD connectable with USB,, newer laptops don't have a DD/DVD.. you can purchase one on Amazon for about 100,00
IF you can use it in the server then there is no problem with the drive. There might be a problem on the network settings, if you have double checked the settings you can try to restart bought of the computer the server and the other one. You can also try sharing it with administrator access. And also if it is a dvd you can try updating your video player software for codecs.

you can access via USB only SD card on your camcoder.
The only way to transfer from the tape is via Firewire (IEE 1394) . You should have this port on your PC or laptop, if not you can buy external firewire card .

given my experience with memorex blanks, i think that you should just switch to another brand....memorex made great tape....the cd blanks are another story. I recommend, if you can find them, FUJI blanks that are made in Japan; they have a reputation as some of the best.

this may be a driver conflict issue, either with your factory fitted drive.
try going into system/device manager and see if its in there, click remove or uninstall, reboot and plug the drive in again, go through the add new hardware wizard if need be.
the other suggestion, is to remove all USB devices from The device manager, reboot and the system will re-install the USB port drivers.

My client had the same problem. A friend of mine said that you must first finalize the mini disk in the camcorder before you place it in your PC. Did this and I could play it on the PC. Try it.
