also, if the paper stuck in FU is straight not crumpled and will come out easily then make sure that the 2 knobs located at top of the FU are in right position.

Yes you can remove the tray. Just make sure you put everything back in its place.
SOURCE: Msg is paper jam when there is no paper jam
I had what seems to be a similar problem and the issue was that the rubber "feet" that grab the paper weren't grabbing anymore. So, I constantly got a paper jam reading. I read elsewhere to wipe some glass cleaner/ammonia on the "feet" so that they become "sticky" again. When I did this, the "Feet" or rubber semi-circle parts that rotate around a metal bar then started to correctly grab the paper again and the error stopped.

Remove the right hand side cover of the printer, (loosen the two screws, one is at the back).... see the small stepper motor at the top right?
Rotate the white gear teeth connected to it, just visible, DOWNWARDS, ANTI CLOCKWISE, using a blunt screwdriver or something, a few teeth at a time, this will eventually rotate the fuser roller and the paper will come out of the bottom of the fuser.
hi im jules_09.have you reassemble the fuser correctly?check again the inside of the machine for small pieces of paper its just there the machine wont flash the misfed if there is nothing stock in the machine.although sometimes the drum can cause the misfed, try to full out the drum.it cant be stock just see if the drum is rotating try to rotate it 360 then slowly full it out, also check if there are srews where the drum process unit is at
