How do I input double parenthesis into calculator?

You input double parenthesis in the order that you see them in the written equation. For example, ((2+ 5)*3)+6, you would enter <left parenthesis> <left parenthesis> 2 + 5 <right parenthesis> * 3 <left parenthesis> + 6 =

Try it out on some equations to make sure it is working like you expect it to work.

Good luck.

How do I enter ln55-1 divided by 2? The answer is 1.5 however I'm coming up with 1.99

Be careful with the order of operations. Try (ln(55)-1)/2You can never have to many parenthesis. remberr PEMDAS ln is an exponent so you want to put it inside parenthesis in oder to follow the Order of operations.

Press numbers display syntax error how solve a problem?

The order in which you are entering numbers and operations is not correct. For example, if you enter 5++2 most calculators will flag this as a syntax error.
On some calculators you calculate square roots as follows: 25 [SQRT]= gives 5. That is the correct syntax for this type of calculators.
For the newer ones you press the SQRT key and see displayed the square root symbol followed by a left parenthesis. You enter the number, close the right parenthesis, then =. If you do not respect the order you get a syntax error.
I cannot say more because I have no idea what you were trying to do, and more importantly, I do not know the make and model of the calculator.

1/1*2+1/2*4+1/2*4*6

According to the operation priority rules
1/1*2=1*2=2
1/2*4=(1/2)*4=2
1/2*4*6=(1/2)*4*6=12
The result is 2+2+12=16
If you have a series with increasing denominators then you should use parentheses to force the calculator to do as you intended.
1/2+1/(2*4)+1/(2*4*6)
or 1/2 +1/2/4 +1/2/4/6=31/48 or 0.645833333.....3

I am trying to add/subtract & multi/divide with a TI 30XS. I can't close the parenthesis. I'll enter the number, then x10n, the exponent, but when I try to close the parenthesis it display

Are you opening the parentheses in the first place? If you don't have a left parenthesis then you don't need a right parenthesis.

Could you post the exact sequence of keystrokes you're using?

Hi, I have a Casio fx-115s scientific calculator which I've had for around 25 years. I am unable to use the bracket function and have lost the instructions. Could you please give any advice to save me...

You should be able to use parentheses in the same order in which you would write the arithmetic expression. For example, 4*(3.5-1.5)= should give you 8. Without the parentheses, this would 12.5.

Essentially, the left parenthesis comes immediately after an arithmetic operator, and the right parenthesis must close the parenthetical expression right after a number, and an operator must follow the right parenthesis.

6+22)/ 2-12 x 3

Just follow the order of operations. 1. Parenthesis 2. Exponents 3. Multiply and Divide in order from left to right, and 4. Add and subtract in order from left to right. I'm assuming you are missing the left parenthesis before the 6 (.

(6 + 22) / 2 -12 x 3 =
28 / 2 - 12 x 3 =
14 - 36 =
-22
