How do you find the area of an irregular rectangle

Hello,
There is no such thing as an irregular rectangle. This being said, I believe that the area of a parallelogram is still equal to the product of the base by the height.
Draw your parallelogram with one side horizontal. From the next corner, draw a line perpendicular to the base. The length of the segment you just drew is h. If b is the length of the base the area is b*h.
Hope it helps.

Any number which can be written as the ratio of 2 integers, eg 22.5 , which can be written as 45/2. Every finite decimal is a rational number. Since in the general ratio p/q, q may equal 1, every integer is a rational number. Many numbers do not fit this definition, the best known of which is Pi, or maybe SQRT(2).

Please explain how you do ratios

A ratio can be simplified by dividing both sides of the ratio by the Highest Common Factor (HCF). The highest common factor is the largest number that goes into both numbers of your ratio. In example 1 you are asked to simplify the ratio 6:8. Here the HCF is 2 so divide both sides of the ratio by 2 to give 3:4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbjQWf411O8
