I turn on the tv and the initial load up just goes blank. The sound works just fine, and it tries to load up(I see the white light nodes in the back light up) but the picture just won't come up. To add to this, there's a light whir or humming noise in the right speaker. I tried plugging my laptop into it and the buzzing stops. That's how I know the sound works, as the laptop noises were going off almost flawlessly.
Main board fault. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy.

The set will need to be properly diagnosed to narrow down the problem. You could be looking at a bad inverter, bad CCFL lamp, fault in power supply or main board.

ok your tv does not come with the very best sound, you have to get a receiver 7.1 or you can use the optical wire , that's if the system you are using has that option.

The power supply will try to start over again, but its sensing voltage a problem in another circuit. The tv needs to be serviced take it to your nearest repair shop.....

Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc. It can be the capacitors are venting out.
