NEC - 42" Commercial Plasma Screen ****(no TV Tuner) Multimedia Projector Questions & Answers
I can't seem to get any sound from my television and need help please.
Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience.

Cracked plasma tv screen
I had one broken a few months ago. I got a couple quotes.. it was about $200 less then a brand new one. I'd just buy a new one.
For the new TV I'd pickup a screen protector for it. My son threw a toy at my TV the other day and I nearly had a heart attack from the flashbacks. Thank God I picked up one of these a few weeks earlier. It stopped it.

How can I get a replacement picture tube. My
First of all, we need to confirm that the problem is indeed the panel and not the supporting electronics. Should the panel (not tube) be the problem, the replacement panel is likely to cost more than an entire replacement set.
Can you please update this with the model number? That is required to get the part number for the panel as well as any other parts that may be required for this repair. Also, what are the symptoms of the failure? Are there any lights lit at this time? Doe sthe panel appear to flash when you first turn on the set? Is there anything visible on the panel at all?
Thanks,
Dan

My hubby kicked our plasma the screen is busted is
The only way to fix this is to replace the plasma panel itself. This is usually a very expensive repair. WIthout the model number, I can not get you exact costs, but the panel typically will cost almost as much as a replacement set. If you'd like more details, please update this with the model number and I'll try to get the part number and cost.
Thanks,
Dan

The screen behind the glass looks like its cracked
The plasma screen is pretty much ruined and will need to be replaced. You might as well buy a new screen. The parts typically run as much as a new set. You can have it repaired using a TV Repair guy but often it costs as much as a brand new TV. My daughter broke my $1,600
LCD. It would have cost $1,200 to fix.. so I just bought a new one. After that I picked up a
TV screen protector called TV Armor
http://www.tv-armor.com Its designed to protect the TV from damage. Now I dont have to worry anymore when she is playing near it. It works really well.

Cracked plasma screen
A plasma display is a very expensive part to replace. When the plasma display is broken, the tv is usually not worth repair.
Call Nec at the number listed on the owner manual, and ask a quote on part or repair.
Regards.

Cracked 42" NEC Plasma,
The display panel is the majority of the cost of a plasma set, and the cost of installing a new panel makes repair uneconomical. If this set is being used in a commercial environment, maybe you have some kind of insurance that might cover replacement.

42" cracked screen
If you have household insurance for damaged goods, this would be a good time to make a claim.
If there is no damage to the plastics around the TV, then who knows, it may have been cracked in the box *wink* *wink* after all, accidents happen in the factory too. ;0) I never said that though.

Cracked Plasma
For the cost of the replacement screen, it's a better option to replace the unit I'm affraid.
The only time you would consider repairing this would be if it were a part of say a video wall and needed to match the rest of the units.
