I don't have an instruction manual, but if the vacuum is running continuously when plugged in you may have a bad relay. http://www.beamvac.com/usa/support/trouble_shooting.aspx http://www.centralvacuumstores.com/cvs/trouble_help.php
Sorry to hear you're having a problem with your DC24. Resetting it is simple: after checking the brushbar is free of threads, hair and other obstructions, turn the cleaner to face you. You'll find the reset button in the red recess on the left-hand side of the cleaner head. Use the blunt end of a pencil or something similar to push it in until you hear an audible 'click'.
For more detailed information on how to clean the brushbar and check the cleaner head for blockages, you may find it helpful to visit www.dyson.com and click on 'Support':
If you find you're unable to get the brushbar started again after cleaning and resetting it, please get in touch with us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US). One of our experts will be happy to provide the assistance you need.
there is a blockage behind the roller brush remove the roller plate and the roller and check the inlet hose for a blockage also remove the bag and chek the inlet to the bag for some type of obstruction. Don the Vacuum Doctor Alb, N.M.
You didn;'t say what the problem is, but I assume that the brush roll is not turning. Take of the cover over the brush roll, then you can get to the brush roll and the belt. The belt probably came off or broke. Best to replace the belt.
