Performing a Fault Reset 14 will reset your WorkCentre and will help to clear error codes.
Find the pink Clear button on the Control Panel of the WorkCentre.
Find the button below the word Auto.
Press these buttons in the following sequence: [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto] NOTE: All of the lights on the Control Panel should go out and the LED Display should go blank. If the lights do not go out, then repeat step 3 until they do. It may be necessary to increase or decrease the pace of the [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto] sequence.
Press the [10's] key one time and the [1's] key four times to enter '14' in the LED Display, as if you were to make 14 copies.
Press the green [Start] button.
Press the pink [Clear] button two times.
The WorkCentre should now warm up and come to ready.
If the above steps do not clear the error code, repeat steps 3 to 6 a second time.
H4-00 means thst the copier isn't warming up quickly enough. Try this code to reset it. Press the following buttons in this order: #, interupt, C, interupt, 1, 4 . machine will say sim 14 trouble clear are you sure. Press the OK button. This should reboot the copier. Most likely the machine is in need of a heater lamp in the fuser unit.
The H4 code indicates the fuser may have blown the thermistor. It also could be a false error code. Try this series to clear the error and if it returns, then you'll know for sure the fuser is the culprit.

An H4 error code indicates trouble in the fusing section - a certain temperature has not been reached within a specified time. It could mean a dirty/bad thermistor or dirty/bad thermostat (both inside the fuser unit. Make sure both of these are clean and there is not debris/paper stuck inside the unit. You can try resetting the code by : Get into SIM mode by pressing the following keys one after the other "#" "interupt" "C" "interupt" then enter 14 and the start key - confirm if requested then make sure the copier restarts. That copier is kind a old. The H4-00 is a fusing error code. The problem is that the fuser is not heatting up right. Mostly it is that
the fusing lamp is broken or the thermal fuse is blown. It will not reset untill the problem is resoloved
H4 codes are related to the fusing unit. Specifically a low heat condition. Follow the reset procedure below. If that doesn't work further diagnosis of the fusing unit an peripherial circuits may be warranted.
Error code reset:
Perform the following key procedure "#" key, Interrupt key, "C" key, Interrupt key
"1" key, "4"key
Start key, "CA" key.
See if unit cycles and comes back up. If not turn off and then back on the main power. If error reappears on site technical service may be required.
