I am read you post trying to find a solution to my washer problem my washer fills drains but will not agitate or spin it appears the lid switch is good and the coupler is good. what do you think the problems is? how exactly does the lid switch work does it do more then just letting the machine know the lid is closed.

you may find that the motor is not going because of faulty capacitor or faulty timer
remove the motor from machine and try running with no loadif it works them maybe the pump is jammed or worse still gearbox is faulty

Yes sir, a bad motor coupler could cause the machine not to spin. You did the right thing in checking out the lid switch and the pump first. It sounds as if the motor coupling is worn and may be slipping. I will attach a link to a video that may assist you. Hope this helps and best wishes.
