I cannot get my bluetooth to stop blinking red when I try to charge the unit and it will not connect to my phone. What can I do to fix this problem?
I fixed this problem by connect it on the charger,hold +and - keys together for 10 seconds,it started to charge and work well.

Oh, I found it!
What comes off is the T-shaped chrome piece on the topside. To pry it off, start at the blunter end of the H500, on either side of the USB port. And note that this chrome piece is just a veneer, sitting on top of the black (in my case) plastic housing.

if you didn't pair your phone up yet, that could be why. Hold all 3 buttons down for 10 sec. should go solid blue, then pair your phone cause its in discovery.

Here's the instructions for charging.
Plug the Motorola charger into the end of
the headset.
The indicator light turns red when the battery is charging. It may take up to 1 minute for the indicator light to turn on. When the headset's battery is fully charged (about 2hours), the indicator light turns green.
From your information, it may very well be that the battery should be replaced if the red light doesn't go off as it should.
