I have turned off the Audio TV OUT option but still I am unable to hear any sound from the Bose. Is there any other options I need to enable/disable in the NR 626 to get it output sound from the Pre Out?
Usually if you have a sub out (line level) on the receiver..u can plug it directly into a pwrd sub and its plug and play..try putting another source into the woofer to see if its blown..if its not..then play with your menu settings on your nr626..get back to me if you need more help

the amp is overheating. Disconnect one speaker at a time to see if problem persists. If so, the amp needs serviced.

Also, it could possibly the preout terminal itself that is not working. One way to prove that is by transferring the subwoofer cable from the preout and temporarily transfer it to the tape out section. If it ouputs sound from there, then that means the speaker and the cables are working fine and it's just the preout terminal itself that is not picking up anything. ^_^

There may be a setting in the TV's menu to set fixed or variable output for the rca's. You want variable. Some have two sets of audio outputs for fixed and variable. Depends on the TV. Check those two things. If no help let me know what the TV is and we'll see what we can do.

you caan either buy a SPLITTER OR JUST RUN A SINGLE LINE OUT OF THE RECIEVER INTO THE SUB. BOTH DONT NEED TO BE PLUGGED IN. SUBS ARE MONO NOT STEREO. THERS NOD IFFERENCE IN SOUND

Hi Benjamin, I read your response to a previous question about connecting the Sub Woofer to NR626. I was wondering if you could please help me with advice on how to connect my Bose Lifestyle system with 5.1 speakers via RCA to the NR626 (I can only think of Pre Out).
