Bush roller squelling on dirt devil 130005 upright bagless cyclonic vacum

Check the brush roll, are the bristles worn down? Check the belt also, if it is stretched, then it won't drive the brush roll like it should.

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Dirt Devil Model #M088300 Upright Vacuum. make sure your brush roller is turning.unplug the vacuum and see if you can turn the brush roller by hand.if it turns real freely then your belt is more than likely broke
