Dirt Devil Easy Lite Quick Vacuum Questions & Answers
Dirt devil doesn[t hold charge
Try running the battery all the way down by letting the vacume run in a corner or another room and even when it stops leave it on for a hour to drain the battery. Then shut the switch off and try charging the battery. Make sure the charger is putting out enough volts by looking at the rated output of the charger and while it is plugged in check it with a volt meter. If it does not hold a charge and the charger is putting out the right voltage you need to purchase a new battery for the vacume
I cleaned my filter and forgot how to put it back on, how?
Hi there! To return the air director back into the dirt cup, rotate 1/4 turn clockwise to lock into place. To replace the pleated filter. Return filter cartridge to base of cleaner. Click button on filter cover back into place to lock filter cartridge in base of cleaner. Hope this helps! I have also included a link to the instruction manual for reference if needed. Thanks!

I have plugged in my dirt devil and it wont turn on. other things are plugged into the same plug in and they are working. is there a reset button on the vacuum?
Hello! The Easy Lite does not have a reset button. It does have a thermal protector that will automatically shut the vacuum down if it is overheated. This is usually caused by either a clog or a dirty filter or a combination of the two. Try these trouble shooting steps below.
1. Remove the hose completely from the vacuum from both ends.
2. Use a broom stick or something similar to gently loosen and remove any clogs from the hose.
3. Remove the dirt cup. Remove the red air director by turning 1/4 turn counter clockwise. Remove any hair or debris from the air director.
4. Remove the filter from vacuum base. Hold filter under running water to rinse. Allow 24 hours to air dry.
When the thermal protector is activated the vacuum must cool down before it will power back on. This can take up to an hour. Hope this helps! If you still have questions feel free to reach out to us here on Fixya, Facebook.com/dirtdevil or Twitter @DirtDevil.

Hello! If the brushes are not spinning your belt may be broken or stretched out. I have included steps to checking and replacing your belt. There is also a link to the owner's manual attached that shows you illustrations on how to change the belt.
- Lay the cleaner flat and flip it to expose the nozzle base. Remove the 5 screws.
- Pull and lift the nozzle guard off.
- Inspect the belt for damages. (nicks, cuts, broken, stretched)
- Replace the belt with a Dirt Devil style 15 belt.
- Slide new belt onto motor-shaft.
- Place belt on area of brushroll with no bristles.
- With new belt in place, pull and slide brushroll into nozzle making sure that the brushroll end caps are in the correct orientation.
- Reattach nozzle guard.
- Secure by aligning the 3 tabs in the base slots.
- Replace all 5 screws.
