That is very strange, the parts suppliers list it, but Dirt Devil have no reference. I would contact Dirt Devil and ask why? There is a model M82700 but it is a cylinder vac. It's overheating. Empty the cup and replace the filters. There's a breaker that opens up and turns it off when it gets too hot. When it cools down it closes back up and it will run again. It'll argue with you til the end of time or until you fix the problem. Good Luck

The battery pack is most likely failed

The pyramidal shaped end caps are just friction fit onto a shaft that runs through the brush roll. The shaft has serrations on both ends. Grab both pyramidal shaped end caps a wiggle them along with outward pressure. Once one is off, tap the shaft with hammer and the other end will come out too. There are bearing cups that will also come out. The bearings come out too with a 9mm socket tapping from the inside of the bearing cup. Grab the SMALLEST straight slot from an eye glass repair kit. The rubber seals are removable on the bearings. Remove them and wash clean. Or grab the wife's ultrasonic jewelry cleaner. Once all clean, align the end caps by assembling and pressing together while it is laying flat on the table. A tap from a hammer will more than likely be need for everything to seat together. Danny

All the parts are here, but the wheel and screws are obsolete. So if the screw holds the wheel and then loosens up, remove the screw, clean the threads and apply Red Loctite. It will stop the screw from loosening. If that doesn't work, get some Liquid Metal, mix it and press it into the hole, grease the threads WELL, and screw the screw in. Hi Slatts51 I am having the same problem it worked wonders the first time I used it, now its doing the same thing as yours, I can hear it gurgling and sometimes it will emit steam but hardly like before, I think I might be switching to a different steam mop I contacted the company now it will take a few days for someone to contact me back, go figure.

Check the brush roll, are the bristles worn down? Check the belt also, if it is stretched, then it won't drive the brush roll like it should.

Keeping it on the charger all the time can shorten the battery life.

Take it back to where you brought it . It must be under warrenty

Be sure the brush roller spins freely. Tear apart the end caps and get the carpet string and hair out of it for better performance and longer belt life. Nothing much else it can be.

See picture for details. It is unnecessary to remove the roller brush to clean it. The picture will show you how to do but not all vacuum cleaners will have a line where to cut. In this case, you can still use a utility knife just be more cautious where your cutting and not too deep. Make your cuts on both sides of the roller. If you still need to pullout the roller brush, don’t worry too much about pulling it out strait. Pull one end slightly, do the other end in the same way until it comes out.

If the belt is over a year old replace it. Belts lose elasticity and will still spin but not clean the carpet.
