Hello:

>>The Following is the Instruction File for Setting the Air Mixture Screws. Any Input is Appreciated. The Procedure is the Same for 1 or 2 Mixture Screws, Just Use the Instruction File and Skip Over the Section with the Missing Mixture Screw ( Usually the H Mixture Screw).
>>Now Setting the Air Mixture Screws:
>>****Turn the Idle Air (L) and Main Air (H) Mixture Screws In Until SNUG **Do Not Jam** Then Reverse Both Screws 1 1/2 Turns. Set the Throttle Full Open, Start the Engine.
>>Turn the Main Air (H) Mixture Screw Clockwise Until Proper Revs are Obtained. **Carefully Use your Finger and Move the Governor Arm to Rev the Engine (on Chainsaws and Trimmers Use the Trigger to Rev the Engine) Until you Reach Max RPMs (on Chainsaws and Trimmers, the RPMs are Not Set to MAX. Set to Max and then Reverse the Setting Screw 1/4 or 1/2 Turn. If the H Mixture Screw is Set too High; the Engine will be Starved for the Oil in the Gas and Damage the Piston and Jug/Cylinder) and the Engine is Running Proper at Full Throttle Up a Grade and for Chainsaws and Trimmers they Do Not Bog DOwn Under a Load. Occasionally you May have to Turn this Counter Clockwise to Achieve the Proper Revs.**
>>Now Allow the Engine to Idle. Set the Engine Idle Screw (Not Idle Air) so the Engine will Stay Running if Required.
>>Now Set the Idle Air (L) Mixture Screw so there is No Hesitation when Rapidly Throttling from Idle to Full Throttle. Reset the Engine Idle if Required.****
Please, Do Not Hesitate, If I Missed Something or you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance.
Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Be Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck

Respectfully

Where do you get the tool to adjust the mixture on this blower from Ryobi? It appears that they do not want you to have this ability, as it has small round screws (4-6mm) with a small triangle cut in it, instead or your regular flat adjustment screws.

After removing both the H and L jet screws and replacing them back cannot get the husqvarna 125bvx blower to start would appreciate some help to fix the problem thank you. Mike

Go to the manufacture Web site down load the user manual or give them a call and ask them what the low idle screw setting and high idle setting is for the motor. You'll need the serial number and the make . Ps. In the future before you remove a jet count the turns to the tighten position so you'll know where to bring them back when reinstalled.

Need to tune sthil fs74 line trimmer

Hi chris tanti
Before you remove or try to adjust your low and high speed jets you should always count the number of turns it takes to lightly seat the idle mixture screw and high speed needle adjusting screws.
Be sure to write the number of turns down on a piece of paper so you will know how many turns from the seated position to open the jets when you go to reinstall them, or if you remove them for cleaning or replacement.
If you have aready tried to adjust them then the adjustments below should get it running for you for final adjustment when warm.
Normally you will adjust your idle jet to 1/2-3/4 turn open from the bottom seated position.
Then you will re-adjust the low speed of the engine when the engine is warm by turning the idle screw in or out till the engine runs smoothly at idle speed, around 1200 RPM.
The high speed jet is adjusted to 1 1/2- 1 3/4 open from the bottom seated position, after the engine is warm.
Then re-adjusted by turning the High Speed jet adjustment screw in or out till the motor runs smoothly at high speed.
Alway use the "lightly seated" method if you have not changed the screw settings.

Low and high speed fuel jet settings for McCullah powermac 145

Can't find the manual right off hand for a 145 for some reason....but...
The wahlbro carbs are 3/4 out from lightly seated on high and low speed screws. The zamas are 1 1/4 turns. Some zamas have no high speed needle.
Anyway if set the high and low speed needles for about 1 turn that will get you running and allow tuning from there.
Take care.

Poulan stalls out

on the side of the carb you should find two screws, one for the low speed jet nd one for he high speed jet. Turning the low speed jet only about a 1/4 turn at a time, adjust it in or out until it idles smoothly. Go to arboristsite.com, chainsaw and do a search on tuning for more complete info.

I have a older model # 30 jiffy ice auger and i can not seem to keep it running consistanly. I was wandering what the carburator adjustments are. The low idle screw and the high idle screw where do I start...

Hello Randy. I can talk you through making adjustments to your Jiffy ice auger engine.
1. Read through the whole list before you start adjusting.
2. Close both jets GENTLY
3. Open the Low speed 1/4 turn
4. Open high speed jet 1 1/4 turn
5. Start engine.
6. Adjust low speed until idling smoothly.
7. Open her up wide open.
8. Adjust High speed until engine transitions smoothly from idle to high speed without bogging.
9. Shut engine off. Let it cool.
10. Once engine is cold. Fire it up and let it idle for 30 secs. Open it up wide open again. Adjust if necassary.

NOTE 1: The trick with the Jiffy's is to tune them during cold (ice fishing) weather.
NOTE 2: Low speed screw, the one on the left.
NOTE 3: High speed on the right.

Good luck ice fishing! Regards, Joe

Need easy adjustments for Ryobi 410 R cultivator carb

1 1/2 turns open on the adjusting screws. Fine tune it from there. Low speed jet should get the unit to idle and high speed jet should take it to peak speed then be backed off until it starts to diesel

Needs carburator adjustment for poulan model # FL 26

Sure. (This will void your warranty and bypass smog requirements!) There is a red and a white limiter cap on the carburetor adjustment screws. Red= High speed / White = Low speed. Remove limiter caps. Turn both jets a 1/2 turn counter clockwise, Start, then fine tune. Use the low speed and idle screws to smooth out low to idle speed and the hi speed jet to tune the full throttle.
