I just purchased a jenn-aire gas cook top (model jgc8430cds) & could not find wattage specification to determine amperage (watts/voltage) so I determine what existing 120vac/20 amp circuit I can configure this product into. Can you provide me with that spec?
A gas range requires minimal electric current. "Any ole" circuit will do.

Well, the 10 amps or less would qualify as a minimal current requirement. You can call Jenn-Air, but I don't think you need to.
Charlie
Watts = Volts x Amps
120 volts x 10 amps = 1200 watts
There is no way a gas range pulls 1200 watts unless it has backup electrical heating units.
"10 amps or less" is a meaningless specification -- 0.0 amps is less than 10.0 amps, so is 0.1 amp (12 watts) less than 10.0 amp, etc. Further, U.S. residential 120-volt circuits are either 15 or 20 amps, which makes the spec even more baffling.
I'd love to hear how Jenn-Air explains that spec.
What did they tell you when you asked them about watts?

I was after the wattage spec because I found a sticker on the botton of the unit that read;
120vac / 60Hz, 10 amps or less..., I'll try to contact jenn-air.
Thx
