Even if the Memory Stick Duo is inserted in the Camera, the images will not be saved in the Memory Stick Duo until the capacity of the Internal Memory is full. To save the images in the Internal Memory to the Memory Stick Duo, select the EXPORT option from the Viewing Menu of the Camera. Touch the MENU icon when viewing images to select the IMPORT option.
There are two option in the Viewing Menu of the Camera (Export and Import). Export option is to save from Internal Memory to Memory Stick and Import is for saving from Memory Stick to the Internal Memory.
This Camera is having 4GB of Internal Memory, hence the images captured will get saved in the Internal Memory first and then to Memory Stick once the Internal Memory is full.
If you are familiar with floppy disks (were placed in the "A" drive) from years ago, the memory stick works in the same way. Instead of saving to the "A" drive, you would save to a drive letter.
If you have a computer that is less than 8 years old, you probably have a USB port. The USB port is rectangular in shape.
Place the memory stick in your USB port (any USB port). The stick only goes one way. So if it does not fit, flip it over and try again. Do not force it.
You should see a message displaying a drive letter (probably "E", "F" or "G") that has been created. Note that drive letter.
Now, the memory stick will allow you to save your files to the "E", "F" or "G" drive. Your computer's hard drive is "C". When you save files (in a document, for example), you are saving to your "C" drive. To save to the memory stick, select "Save As" with in your software program, such as Word, and select the memory stick's drive letter. Your document will be saved to your memory stick. Note that the light will go on the memory stick as it saves your document.
When you are finished with the memory stick, look for a symbol on your Toolbar (near the date/time). Right-click the item and select "Eject" and you'll get a message that it is safe to remove your hardware.
Please note to never remove your memory stick when your are saving a document or other file.
Need more info, can you save as a .txt or .rtx ? Have any other problems with saving to the drive? Have you tried to-- save as-- and put your doc in a new folder or rename the doc?
Hello,
Make sure you are selecting all of the photos to copy over. This happens to me sometimes, and even though it seems like it should be copying them all, it only copies one.
Hope this helps!
