I have a Frigidaire front load washer (LTF2940E) which up until yesterday was working as it should. Now when a load of clothes is put in it and the cycle started the water starts to pour into the tub, but then quickly stops. The timer still appears to function...however its not a 1-to-1 ratio, its delayed, the cycle actually last longer than the number of minutes indicated on the timer. This starting and stopping continues, with the starts being quick/short and the stops being long.
I removed the load of clothes which left the water remaining in the tub. I then changed the program control to "Drain/Spin". Again, the cycle started and then quickly stopped and continued to do this as described above. The water remaining in the tub did drain, but I have yet to see or hear the tub begin to spin during either of these attempts to run a cycle on the washer. Also, I have not seen any error codes displayed on the washer.
Thanks in advance for any and all help.
The cycle doesn't advance
When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:
If the unit is washing properly, as far as you can tell, but it won't stop spinning, then I would have a professional look at the control panel and timer to be diagnosed because there seems to be in miscommunication.

Usually answered in minutes!
The washing machine never does completely fill. When the Normal wash program is selected and the start button is pushed, the washer makes the sound as though its starting and about a 2 second shot of water is added to the tub which is then followed by nothing happening for an extended period (5 minutes or more), then again a quick 2 second shot of water followed by another period of time with nothing happening and this continues. This same on/off/on/off...happens with the "Drain/Spin" program too. When the washer is doing nothing, the indicators and timer remain lit. Even a "Cold/Cold" wash program experiences this same issue. At no time since this started to happen have I seen the tub move.
